Shanik claims that drinking Jamaican water helps prevent infalmmation. "It is inevitable when you go to the beach, on the second day you already swelled up, but you can drink Jamaican water to avoid retaining liquids. Of course without sweetener or calorie-free sweetener, because it helps reduce inflammation," she told PANORAMA.
She Does Ab Work
Another way Shanik prep's for the beach? She does ab exercises. "And if you do some abs before going to the beach and have good habits, your abdomen will look great on your vacation," she told the publication.
She Doesn't Deprive Herself
While Shanik eats healthy most of the time, her diet isn't super restrictive. "The truth is that I don't like to deprive myself of anything, and I don't follow the diet all my life, the body needs everything, but I avoid saturated fats, fried food and soft drinks," she told TVNotas.
She Works Out 3 to 4 Times a Week
Shanik exercises "three to four days a week," she told TVNotas, "and what I do is very dynamic, it's pure exercise, I do it continuously for an hour. I work with boxes, weights and bands, and I exercise my whole body," she said, adding "when I don't have time to go to the gym I prefer to do push-ups and sit-ups."
She Skis
Shanik also enjoys skiing, which offers a number of health benefits according to research. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
