She loves her shellfish.

Mexican TV star Jimena Sánchez lives her life in front of the camera, and she's clearly a natural. 1

Lots of Seafood

One look at Sánchez's Instagram account shows she is a huge fan of seafood, especially shrimp and lobster. "To ensure healthy and durable bones well into your old age, it is important that you get the recommended dose of essential minerals every day," says John Staughton, BASc, BFA. "Lobster is not only one of the tastiest meals around, but also one of the densest when it comes to calcium and phosphorus. These minerals are required to increase bone mineral density, thus helping to prevent osteoporosis and other age-related issues that are impacted by weak or frail bones."

2

Escargot for Madam

Sánchez loves a plate of delicious escargot when she's at a French restaurant. "Snails are low in calories and high in protein," says Sylvie Tremblay, MSc. "A 3-ounce portion of snails – served plain – contains just 76 calories, or about 4 percent of the calories you're allowed to eat in a 2,000-calorie diet. For that calorie investment, you'll get 14 grams of protein. Like any other animal-derived protein, the protein in snails is complete – which means it contains each amino acid you need to get from your diet. Snails also contain tiny amounts of carbohydrates and fat – 2 grams and 1 gram, respectively, to be exact."

Birria Tacos

Sánchez loves birria tacos for a delicious lunch. "Goat meat is a healthier alternative to other red meats like beef, lamb, and pork," says Prairie View A&M University. "It is naturally lean, very nutritious and has a range of health benefits. The meat has less fat, less saturated fat, more iron, and about the same amount of protein compared to beef, pork, lamb, or chicken."

4

Black Coffee

Sánchez enjoys a cup of coffee to start her day, and prefers to drink it black. "Almost two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer's disease are women," says Johns Hopkins Medicine. "But the caffeine in two cups of coffee may provide significant protection against developing the condition. In fact, researchers found that women age 65 and older who drank two to three cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop dementia in general."

5

She Loves Her Legumes

Sánchez enjoys adding a variety of legumes to her diet, including beans. "Like all plants, legumes also provide health-promoting antioxidants and phytochemicals," says Micaela Karlsen, PhD. "The benefits of eating legumes are numerous. In addition to their health-promoting nutrient profile, legumes fit into many traditional cuisines, and they are inexpensive."
