She Eats Clean and Is a Vegetarian
Elle discussed her diet with Vogue Australia. "I have always been a clean eater. I was brought up like that, we had to eat all the colours of the rainbow. I was a vegetarian through my teens and then ate meat for a couple of years. However, about 18 months ago, my partner and I decided to go vegetarian again and [we] haven't looked back," she said. "I limit snacking and ensure that what I am eating serves a purpose for my body. With [increased] work outs, I have really invested in putting the right food into my body." What does an average day of eating look like for her? "Breakfast is unflavoured greek yoghurt, fruit, granola and honey. Lunch is a leafy green salad. Dinner can be either tofu or lentils with vegetables. After dinner, [I have] a couple of squares of dark chocolate as a treat. I don't drink alcohol or coffee."
She Moves…A Lot
What is Elle's biggest piece of advice for staying in shape? "Move. No matter who you are, or where you are, move. Also, you are what you eat," she told Vogue Australia. "I can proudly say, for the last eight-and-a-half months, I have been working out twice a day, six days a week."
She Runs on the Treadmill on an Incline
She also revealed to Vogue that she runs on the treadmill on an incline. "This year, I invested in a treadmill for the house, I absolutely LOVE working out in the privacy of my home. I can go really hard and get messy and no one sees me… IT IS AMAZING," she said.
She Does Pilates
Ella also is a fan of Pilates. "I've been doing Pilates for around five years and I love it. I see real change in my body when I can do it three times a week, but unfortunately I just hadn't had the time to be able to get to a class," she told Body + Soul. When she can't make it to a class she will do mat Pilates, she added to Vogue. "I can roll out of bed and do it in my lounge room."
She Relies on Meal Delivery Programs
During the pandemic Elle signed up for HelloFresh, calling the meal delivery service a "game changer" and explaining that it helped her approach to eating. "Our portion sizes became smaller, and we really started to appreciate the process of cooking at home and eating out. We also LOVED not having to ask the dreadful question of 'What's for dinner?'" she told Body + Soul.
She Prioritizes Self-Care
Elle makes sure to prioritize self-care. "This year, I have been very aware to thank the universe for where I am. Also to thank my body for being healthy and being able to move. Setting my intention in the morning whilst burning some incense has been a daily ritual," she told Vogue. "I love to treat myself to a massage and body scrub from Venustus and I also LOVE some retail therapy."
