The Indian actress radiates in her latest snaps, showing off her fantastic figure by the ocean in a yellow bathing suit. Akanksha starts her day on a zen note. "My day starts with my mother and me praying as she's very spiritual and she motivates me too," she told Times of India. "We meditate." Akanksha also starts her day with a yoga session. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

She Does At-Home Workouts

Akanksha loves doing at-home workouts. "I have been learning a lot from YouTube videos. I try to work out on my own, climbing stairs several times in the day, maintaining a strict diet and doing yoga as well as cardio on my terrace. In fact, I feel I will fire my trainer now," she joked to TellyChakkar.

She Walks

Another way Akanksha stays in shape? She goes on daily strolls. She told Times of India that "in the evenings" she and her mother "go for a walk." Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace

Akanksha understands the importance of workout buddies. "I am glad I got my fitness partner, who's my mom; we are taking good care of each other," she told Times of India.

She Makes Healthier Versions of Her Favorite Food

Akanksha modifies her favorite dishes to make them healthier. "My favourite Navratri food since childhood is sabudana khichdi and kuttu ka cheela. As I'm more health conscious now, I've given healthier twists to these dishes. I include pomegranate seeds, grapes, flaxseeds and chia in my sabudana khichdi. For kuttu ka cheela, I stuff it with paneer for more protein," she told Times of India
