She Hikes

Ola loves hiking. Here she is on a recent trip to Los Angeles hiking up to see the Hollywood sign. "Say YES to adventure especially in the summer," she captioned the post. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She Walks Her Dog

Ola has a little dog, so regular walks are part of her routine. "Fall 🎃🍂 me and my little happiness," she captioned a post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

She Soaks in the Hot Tub

Ola also enjoys soaking in hot water, either in hot tubs or baths. Hot water soaks have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

She Rides Bikes

Ola loves a long bike ride. "And what are you doing in this heat?" she captioned a post. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

She Fights

Ola recently started getting into fighting forms of fitness. "My first mma training session everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Mommy, daddy I'm coming back with a squint," she captioned a post. "This kind of boxing has many health benefits because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs."

She Swims

Finally, Ola is a swimmer, a great way to stay in shape according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
