Swimming In the Sea
Gallagher loves to swim, which is a great way to get a full-body workout while taking pressure off the joints. She especially enjoys swimming in the sea when she's at home in the UK—although the specific location is a bit tricky to access. "[My favorite place to swim is] a little spot on the Jurassic coast in England," she says. "You have to abseil down some rocks to get there."
Growing Her Own Food
Gallagher lives on a farm with her boyfriend, chef Julius Roberts. The couple love growing their own food and sourcing local ingredients. "Backyard gardening can inspire you to take an interest in the origins of your food and make better choices about what you put on your plate," says Dr. Helen Delichatsios, an internist at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital. "When you grow your own food, you savor it more because of the effort it took to get to the table."
Drinking 3 Liters of Water a Day
How does she get such beautiful model-esque skin? Gallagher stays hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, which is not only important for health, but for her appearance. "Every day I try to drink at least two or three liters of water," she says. "That really helps to hydrate your skin and make you look well."
Open About Psoriasis
Gallagher is honest about living with psoriasis. "I think it's important for me with the younger generation of girls and boys to be a good role model and that requires honesty and showing people that all imperfections are perfect in their own way and they make you who you are," she says. "I was never embarrassed or that scared of my psoriasis but I thought it would be a good time to show the world that it's not something you need to be scared of."
Taking Time For Self-Care

Gallagher's favorite way to enjoy much needed downtime is to simply be at home. "Home to me, is somewhere you can exist in solitude drinking a cup of tea reading a book and then the very next day sit around a table eating lots of great food, entertaining family and friends," she says. "It's the combination of both, that makes a home so special."
