Narcos Star Joanna Christie Shares Swimsuit Photo From Albania
Narcos star Joanna Christie crossed something special off her bucket list this year—going on a trip to beautiful Albania. Christie, who plays Connie Murphy on the show, shared an incredible reel of her vacation, including a picture of her posing at the beach in a blue bikini, against a background of blue seas and skies. "Albania part 2🇦🇱: The color of the water…💙, standing with our toes in the Mediterranean Sea with snowy mountains behind us, an ice cold plunge on my birthday 🥳, thunderstorms and sunshine, exploring Ancient Greek and Roman ruins at #butrint wonderful hospitality at @arxontikohimare and an ocean view to die for," she captioned the post. Here's how the actress lives her best life.
Running and Yoga
Christie swears by yoga and running to keep her fit and healthy while enjoying the New York lifestyle. "I've subconsciously created my life in New York a bit like Sex and the City," she says. "I'm not one for spending a lot on clothes and bothering about handbags and shoes, but New York's done something to me. At the moment I feel a bit like Carrie Bradshaw!"
She's a Foodie
Christie has no interest in restrictive diets, and enjoys trying all the wonderful cuisines the city has to offer. "The other day I ordered so much food, they gave me three knives and forks with it," she says. "I'm a massive foodie, so it's just heaven!"
Eco Warrior
Christie has a Masters in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from Edinburgh University, and is passionate about eco-issues, which she talks about on her social media. "The planet will survive us in some form but all these beautiful places- tropical rainforests, coral reefs, alpine mountains, white sand beaches, wildflower meadows…will NOT with our projected rates of climate change and biodiversity loss," she says. "We need all hands on deck to fight for a liveable future for our children and grandchildren."
Solo Travel
Christie loves traveling by herself, which experts say is beneficial for self-confidence and personal growth. "Another solo trip comes to an end…leaving me with another novel experience that has been self-reflective, life-affirming, soul-quenching and life-changing ❤️🌎 So grateful to have seen and dived with such a variety of sea life: whales, dolphins, whale sharks, bull sharks, sea lions, stingrays, octopus, turtles, so many puffer fish, eels, pelicans and huge shoals of fish bigger than I've seen anywhere else," she captioned an Instagram post about a visit to Mexico.
Hiking Trips
Christie hikes in the beautiful Peak District National Park whenever she can. "When you're dressed for success, hiking is a great total-body workout," says Michael Bednarz, DPM, FACFAS. "It strengthens the large muscles in your body, while stimulating the feel-good chemical hormones of adrenaline and endorphins that boost your mood and energy levels."
