Hilary Swank Does These Workouts To Stay Toned at 50

These favorite exercises keep the celeb strong and sculpted at 50.

Hilary Swank has come a long way since Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but she continues to slay. Not only does the two-time Oscar winning actress always look gorgeous on and off the big screen, but she manages to stay amazingly toned at 50. How does she do it? We have some of Hilary's go-to workouts that keep the celeb strong and sculpted.

Consistent workouts weren't always at the top of Hilary's agenda. The star admitted to Women's Health, "Exercising took a back seat for a little while."

It didn't take Hilary too long to get back on track, though. After all, once a fitness enthusiast, always a fitness enthusiast.

"I grew up playing sports, so for me, exercise is like braiding hair," the actress told Repeller (via Women's Health).

Hilary had a great attitude and found a few workouts that work well for her body.

Hilary Swank Loves Tennis and Pilates

Although Hilary used to diligently perform strength training three times a week, she's made a little change to her routine. "Right now, my go-to is tennis and Pilates," she told Women's Health, adding, "I used to do three days a week of strength training. I love lifting. It just makes me feel really grounded in my body."

She's All About Energy, Longevity, and Being a Strong Role Model for Her Kids

A former gymnast and swim competitor, Hilary has always been super active. Her focus now as a mom is all about energy, longevity, and being a strong role model for her kids.

"I'm a very different parent than I would've been even in my early 40s. I'm much more present. I'm really interested in their brains, what makes them tick—and I'm not divided. I can be hands-on and focused," the actress shared.

She Eats Healthy

This celeb eliminated dairy and limits the meat she eats in her diet. She restricts her diet to protein-enriched meals that will give her energy. Some of her favorites? Hilary enjoys oatmeal for breakfast, a sourdough sandwich of sardine salad for lunch, and a light meal of coconut yogurt topped with granola at night.

Most importantly, she leads a happy life and has a great outlook. "'Energy is flowing when you're happy to be where you want to be—because you made a choice to be there," Hilary said.
