Paula Badosa Reveals the Fitness Routine Keeping Her Match Ready

Spanish pro tennis player, Paula Badosa, is known for her incredible athletic level and strength that she brings to the game. Her drive on the court comes into play even in her day-to-day life. When it comes to keeping herself strong and healthy, ready for the next match, here are five things that Paula does to stay in great shape.
She puts in the work

Fitness is her focus on a daily basis, as shown in this montage of a day in her life on Instagram. Paula hits the gym, starting with spinning, and moving into stretching, floor workouts, weight training, arm workouts, and more to keep herself in the best shape possible.
She looks for mental clarity
She spends time in places and with people that keep her mental health strong. “Places and people heal you, and this was one of those times. What an amazing trip with my crew for life,” she said on Instagram in a series of photos and videos of her enjoying time with friends, in nature, and weightlifting.
She spends time outside
Time outdoors is a priority for her, especially by the water, to stay in a good mental health space which can ultimately help her while training. “The sea will always be the place where I reconnect with myself and escape the noise…Maldives you’re always amazing,” she said on Instagram, soaking in views of the ocean.
She strength trains

She prioritizes strength training and continuing to gain muscle, toning her body. It’s about being strong and being the best version of herself, inside and out. “We keep building 👊,” she said on a video of her weightlifting. According to the Mayo Clinic, “your body fat percentage will increase over time if you don’t do anything to replace the lean muscle you lose over time. Strength training can help you preserve and enhance your muscle mass at any age.”
She aims higher
She puts in the work to be an incredible athlete, and continues working on herself. “We smile & we continue. 🧡I’m happy to be back on court after all. Tennis is my passion, and being able to compete and experience all the beauty of it is priceless. I’m still far from the level I want to reach, but I know it’s all a process, just like everything in life, things don’t come overnight,” she said on Instagram.
