Amanda Lamb is a TV host, best known for her work on A Place In The Sun. She and her family recently enjoyed a trip to Crete, Greece. Lamb shared some highlights on Instagram this week. In them, she enjoyed a day on the water. Lamb captioned the post, “Memories made, fears exercised.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Amanda Lamb stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Faces Her Fears

In her recent Instagram post, Lamb talked about overcoming some of her fears. She began the caption with, “Faced a few fears today… took a boat out on my own with the girls. Might not seem much but it was a big thing for me. Pootled round the bay, got up close to Spinalonga (which we’re visiting tomorrow) jumped off into water so deep we couldn’t see the bottom and handed over the reins/wheel thingy to the teen who amazed me with how good she was.”

2. She Swims

Lamb likes to swim to stay in shape. She shared this set of photos and videos on Instagram of herself having a pool day. Lamb captioned the post, “Continuing my love of dunking myself in various bodies of water. The pool at @casalasiesta has to be seen to be believed. Quiet, tranquil and mesmerising. I’ve barely been out of it. Highlight was early morning pre breakfast swim with coffee and book in hand and watching the swifts dive in for a drink.. swipe right to see.. they’re fast little buggers though, blink and you’ll miss him… will give you a tour soon once I’ve dragged myself back to reality…”

3. She Hikes

Swimming isn’t the only outdoor activity Lamb likes to do to stay in shape. She’s also a fan of hiking, and shares several hiking highlights on Instagram. In this set of photos, Lamb hikes Blackchurch Rock. She captioned the post, “Finally got down here. I’ve lived down here for 8 years and never managed to get to Blackchurch Rock. Go if you get the chance, it’s incredible and make sure you go at low tide so you can climb through and look like an awkward tourist.”

4. She Lives A Healthier Lifestyle

Eat,Less,,Move,More,On,Note,In,Plate,And,Dumbbell.Shutterstock

In an interview with Closer, Lamb talked about how she lost weight and adapted to a healthier lifestyle. "I put on weight while filming A Place In The Sun in Europe. We'd go out boozing, and I was eating baguettes for lunch, followed by stodgy dinners…Since then, my weight has slowly returned to normal. I eat healthily and go to the gym four times a week. One day I’m going to write a book about how to [lose weight]. It will be called Eat Less; Move More. It’s not rocket science.”

5. She Gets Her Vitamin D

Vitamin D from the sun is vital as it helps regulate calcium and phosphorus absorption, promoting healthy bone growth and maintenance. Sunlight triggers a skin reaction that generates vitamin D, aiding immune function, cell growth, and reducing inflammation. Insufficient sun exposure can lead to deficiencies, linked to bone disorders like rickets in children and osteoporosis in adults. However, moderation is key due to sunburn and skin cancer risks. Balancing sun exposure, dietary sources, and supplements ensures adequate vitamin D levels for overall health.

Heiress and activist Amanda Hearst had a beautiful time wrapping up her summer season in Ibiza, Spain. Hearst, 39, shared a series of envy-inducing pictures of herself enjoying the sun, sea, and spectacular scenery with friends and loved ones. One picture shows the philanthropist posing on a boat, wearing a black swimsuit with shorts, against a background of stunning ocean waters. “Until next summer!! ❤️,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Hearst lives a happy and fulfilling life.

1. A Day In the Life

Hollywood,,California,/,Usa,-,December,16,,2019:,Attends,TheShutterstock

Hearst spends most of her day working on her charities. “I wake up at eight-fifteen, and then I feed the kitties,” she says. “I have breakfast while I’m reading my emails. Because I’m on L.A. time, I have most of my Zoom calls with Well Beings and Maison-de-Mode in the morning, and those will go through lunch, probably. After that I’ll do some personal time. Right now I’m trying to learn Norwegian, because my husband’s Norwegian, so that’s been my homework. Around like, four to four-thirty, I’ll do a yoga and/or meditation class on this app called GLO. After that I reconnect with my husband, hang out, order food, watch TV.”

2. Sustainable Fashion

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,30:,Amanda,Hearst,Arrives,For,'maleficent:Shutterstock

Hearst is passionate about responsible, sustainable fashion, which is why she helped create ethical luxury Maison de Mode. “I think when brands are made to order or produced locally, they are definitely more responsible with their resources, so that is a plus,” she says. “My cousin, Gabriela Hearst, has her own ready-to-wear line. She uses about 60 percent recycled, upcycled, non-virgin materials, and that has been a benefit in terms of production. She can still produce because she wasn’t dependent on factories creating virgin textiles. She already had the materials. I think that sustainability in some ways has been a benefit for these brands, [but] I just think at the end of the day, sales are really tough.”

3. Pilates and Yoga

Hearst swears by Pilates and yoga sessions for a fantastic workout. "There are plenty of online classes that teach you how to do Pilates on a mat," says Leanne Wonesh, an athletic trainer at Houston Methodist. "If you decide to go for an online mat class, just keep in mind that it can be much more intense than you think! I actually recommend underestimating yourself when trying your first online mat Pilates class and always starting at the beginner level. The last thing you want is to try it out and give up right away because it seems too difficult."

4. Leggings and La Mer

Hearst has a few things she can’t do without. “[When I feel like I have nothing to wear, I reach for] black leggings and a t-shirt because I've realized that I have nothing to wear and I'd rather be comfortable.” Her favorite luxury item is expensive face cream. “Creme de la Mer face cream, the original product,” she says. “My skin is so dry, and it's the only product that works for me in the winter.”

5. She’s Multilingual

In addition to learning Norwegian and being fluent in Spanish, Hearst is also studying Dutch. “Regardless of when you acquire additional languages, being multilingual gives your brain some remarkable advantages,” says educator Mia Nacamulli. Some of these are even visible, such as higher density of the gray matter that contains most of your brain's neurons and synapses, and more activity in certain regions when engaging a second language. The heightened workout a bilingual brain receives throughout its life can also help delay the onset of diseases, like Alzheimer's and dementia by as much as five years.”

A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas is enjoying a beautiful vacation in Antigua, in the Caribbean. The British star, 36, shared some highlights from her magical trip to the island, including a snap of herself posing in a swimsuit next to a gorgeous pool, looking out over the ocean. “Hermitage Bay; a place of luxury, bliss, opulence and euphoria all rolled into one 💙💚🖤,” she captioned the post. How does Douglas stay so fit and beautiful? Here are 5 ways she takes care of her health and happiness.

1. She’s a Foodie

Douglas is passionate about food and loves to cook when she can. “I'm a big foodie,” she says. “It's funny because I've got a new house with a new kitchen, and I haven't used any of the appliances yet because I've not been around to cook. Something that would make me the happiest is having a really good meal – usually spaghetti bolognese with a side of garlic bread.”

2. Loving Her Curves

Douglas learned to love her looks after embracing what makes her unique—and refuses to diet to change her body. "It was having to watch myself on television,” she says. “I came from a dancing background and you’ve got to be thin and everybody has got to look the same. I was never going to look the same as anybody else because, as a black female, I'm curvy. I'm not going to have the same shape as my white friends. I really had to get into the mindset of 'this is my body and I don't have to diet all the time because my body just naturally isn't like that'.”

3. Working In Her Garden

Douglas calls her garden her safe haven. “I just love being outside, so my garden is really important to me,” she says. “My garden is currently getting renovated and I'm planning on having a paving area and artificial grass. Don't judge me! I'm never really in the country much, so real grass would be too much to maintain. My garden is split into tiers, so I'm also going to have some nice lounging seats, pebbles, an outside table with chairs, an outdoor rug, fairy lights, wind chimes and potted plants. It will be my safe haven where I can relax and read a book.”

4. Her Beauty Must-Haves

Castor,,Seeds,On,A,White,Background.Shutterstock

Douglas has a go-to list of things she can’t travel without. “Black castor oil, silk head cover, wide toothed comb and and my ‘HAIRepair’ Nourishing Conditioner,” she says. “With all these items my hair will stay well maintained! My must bring beauty products are definitely my Nivea Vanilla and Macadamia Nut Lip Butter, Mac Blot Powder, Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Powder and most importantly my body lotion. I can’t be having dry, ashy skin on screen!”

5. Her Number 1 Decorating Tip

Douglas has a useful tip for those who want to decorate homes with the intention of selling them. “The best decorating tip I learned is not to put too much of your own personality into a home if you are doing it up to sell,” she says. “I absolutely love pink. One of my spare bedrooms is decorated completely in blush pink, but that could actually put someone off. It's just about trying to be neutral while still adding flair here and there. Don't ever try to go too over-the-top because you might end up putting someone off. If it's your house then do whatever you want, but if you are doing a renovation to make money, then it needs to be a blank canvas to a certain degree. People need to be able to see what they can do with it and how they can make it theirs.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
