Want to see some of your favorite Full House stars? You got it, dude. From Candace Cameron Bure's dynamic workouts to Jodie Sweetin's hydration revelation and John Stamos's serene meditation habits, these beloved stars from the iconic show and its spinoff have fascinating fitness journeys. Their stories, filled with personal insights and routines, are not just about staying in shape but also about finding balance and joy in their lives. Read it or you're in big trouble, mister.

1. Candace Cameron Bure

Candace Cameron Bure played DJ Tanner on the original series and spinoff. She shared some of her diet and workout secrets in an interview with Cosmopolitan. Bure says that she works with trainer, Kira Stokes, to help her stay fit. “When I work out with Kira, sessions can run up to two hours. She always incorporates a unique combination of functional movements, resistance training, and cardiovascular conditioning, using free weights, body weight, gliders, and portable equipment like jump rope, resistance bands, BOSU, and weighted balls.”

2. Jodie Sweetin

Jodie Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner on the original series and spinoff. She revealed some of her wellness secrets in an interview with New Beauty. “I started really being observant of how much water I drink, because I love coffee,” she says. “That’s pretty much what I drink…but I finally said: ‘You know, maybe I should start drinking more water.’ My skin cleared up! Which is huge, because I was having crazy-weird cystic acne, all this stuff. But just with drinking water, with taking probiotics, with taking vitamins, I’ve noticed such a difference! I have to laugh because it’s so basic to drink more water, but it’s also game-changing.”

3. John Stamos

John,Stamos,Attends,Opening,Night,For,Some,Like,It,HotShutterstock

John Stamos played Jesse Katsopolis on the original series and spinoff. He revealed in an interview with Men’s Health that he got into meditation. “When I joined The Beach Boys, or started hanging out with them, they were all meditating. Mike Love, all of them were in India with Maharishi, and so they made me take a [Transcendental Meditation] course. I don’t do it enough, but that always helps.”

4. Marla Sokoloff

Marla Sokoloff played Gia Mahan on the original series and spinoff. She opened up about wanting to set a healthy example for her kids in an essay for Momtastic. “I also don’t obsess over hours at the gym anymore. I would rather hang out with my family at the zoo on a Saturday morning than hit up a spin class. I truly don’t have the time to care like I used to and I’m 100 percent okay with that! I’m also proud to say that my daughters do not even know the D word exists. We never speak of diets or dieting or DEPRIVING for that matter. What they do know is that their parents love to eat healthy, they love to exercise, and they also love to break all of the rules sometimes and make ‘smores way past bedtime.”

5. Ashley Olsen

Ashley Olsen played Michelle Tanner on the original series. She does a lot of Pilates workouts to keep herself in shape. Olsen’s trainer, Jessica Schatz, shared her secrets with People. "We do a lot of planks and variations of planks, like reverse planks, and side body core and leg work. We [also] do solid floor work—whether it be from the classical Pilates mat series or my own methodology—[focusing on] full body strength, functional movement, core strength, core stability, and core control. I also combine my expertise in yoga and biomechanics to keep things tailored to her specific body."

6. Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary-Kate Olsen also played Michelle Tanner. She and her twin sister, Ashley, have become known for their lines of beauty products and fashion. Olsen talked about how they created their Nirvana fragrances to ELLE. “We really started the initial thought process focusing on Nirvana Black, actually. It was about the scents that we loved: sandalwood, musks, something sensual, and something that felt nostalgic in a way. And the more we started thinking about our brand, we recognized there's such a duality to Elizabeth and James, and we felt it was really only appropriate if we did two scents and gave a choice. So then we started down a floral path, but we still wanted that same sensuality, so we focused on peony. Nirvana White had to feel like it came from the same place, from the same intention. They're just two different types. We wanted them to feel like oils.”

7. Andrea Barber

Andrea Barber played Kimmy Gibbler on the series and spinoff. She revealed to Women’s Running that she started getting into running after doing a race with friends. “It was meant to be a fun run, it wasn’t meant to be serious at all. But something happened out there around the middle of the race…I felt that runner’s high. I crossed the finish line and I was changed forever. What started out as a fun run ended up changing my life completely.”

The Haunting of Hill House kicked off Mike Flanagan's streak of supernatural horror in terrific fashion. It was gorgeous. Frightening. And it starred some of the most appealing actors ever to be scared stiff. How do they stay so fit? Flanagan's fave Carla Gugino loves yoga. Oliver Jackson-Cohen keeps his skincare routine simple. And Kate Siegel has a special trick she uses to center herself in each scene. Read on to discover how these celebs stay centered.

1. Michiel Huisman

Michel Huisman played the older Steven Crain. He shared his fitness secrets in an interview with InStyle. "I work out on playgrounds at 6 in the morning," he says. "I did work with a trainer for a long time but not anymore. I don't have time for it, so I just do it wherever I can. Body weight."

2. Carla Gugino

Carla Gugino played Olivia Crain. She shared her go-to exercises in an interview with Coveteur. “I’ve been doing yoga since I was 13. It’s great because I can do it in a hotel room anywhere I am. I’m really into Barre3 in the West Village, it’s such a kick-ass class. If I’m in New York I'm doing Barre3 and SoulCycle. If I’m in L.A., I’m hiking and swimming.”

3. Henry Thomas

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,13:,Henry,Thomas,At,The,2019Shutterstock

Henry Thomas played the younger Hugh Crain. He has been acting since he was young, and talked about having to cut off his mother from managing his career to The DailyMail. “I felt a bit of pressure to not fully invest myself in that world and to stay grounded in home life. Then my mum became critical, so when I was getting supporting roles she would say ‘I don’t know why you’re not on the poster. Talk to your people. It was conflicting. But by the time I was 17 I had frozen them out and I said: ‘I’m going to do it and I don’t need your help and you’re just holding me back.’”

4. Oliver Jackson-Cohen

"60 Years Of James Bond" - ArrivalsKate Green/Getty Images

Oliver Jackson-Cohen played older Luke Crain. He shared his skincare routine in an interview with GQ. “I try to keep my skincare as simple as possible,” he said. “I don’t wash my face with anything apart from water. In the winter, once out of the shower, I will occasionally spray Valmont Hydrating Fluid if it's particularly dry, followed by Ceramiracle First Light Serum. It’s very hydrating so I don’t always need a moisturiser. If I do, Crème De La Mer moisturising cream has been a long staple and is excellent.”

5. Kate Siegel

Kate Siegel played the older Theo Crain on the show. She shared her secrets for staying calm on sets with Collider. “Anything that puts me more in my head separates me from the moment-to-moment reality of acting, so any kind of meditation or things like that puts me more into my head. And so the things I like to do are kind of two-fold. One is, that part of my brain that's always kind of fumbling with the Rubik's Cube of the scene, I think is beneficial. I love her. I used to hate her, but now I love her, and so what I'll do is I'll give her something arbitrary to think about."

6. Victoria Pedretti

Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood and TikTok Celebrate Vanities: A Night For Young Hollywood - ArrivalsJerod Harris/Getty Images

Victoria Pedretti played the older Nell Crain Vance on the show. She shared her favorite self-care rituals with Byrdie. “I do yoga, for sure. I'm not necessarily working to gain a tremendous amount of muscle. I do yoga because I want to have access to my body for a long time. I've also been working on doing different forms of facial massage because I use my face a lot in my work. Doing these habits has a large effect on my mental health. I think working on our minds without working on our bodies is only doing half the work.”

7. Annabeth Gish

Annabeth Gish played Clara Dudley on the show. She revealed to Sportify It that she does a lot of at-home workouts. “My Peleton changed my world. I don’t have to park. I can make dinner and workout while it’s cooking. I can workout whenever I want. We can parent and workout in our home. Even with that, I do yoga. I hike. We take our dogs for a work all the time. I workout 4-5 days a week, not every day. Having the time to workout is a luxury, but we also make it a priority.”

Since my 40s I’ve been sorting out my diet, throwing the frying pan away and getting the steamer out which makes me feel lighter. I use cold-pressed olive oil and don’t cook high temperature foods. I have three children. It’s a lot, [so] I make a conscious effort to practice self-care. I eat well, I work out, and I stay hydrated. 6. Cynthia Watros

Pasadena,,Ca,Usa,-,June,24,,2022.,Cynthia,Watros,AttendsShutterstock

But one of my favorite things to do is hike. I hike in places that I’m really familiar with because I find that I can connect not only with nature, but with myself. That’s right up there for me with yoga. I used to do the whole thing with the gym and spinning classes and I loved it, but with [Covid], I can’t go to the gym, so I’m really back in love with yoga, which I do from home, and hiking. When I was going to the gym, I’d do a bit of everything so I didn’t get bored — weight-lifting classes, Zumba, Pilates. It’s probably four days a week that I’m doing something to move my body, even if it’s just a walk.”

I’m a sucker for new adventurous things. Ice climbing just adds that layer of intensity, which I love. Ice climbing is a real practice in being mindful, and being present.”

She revealed that she likes to eat vegetarian and pescatarian food to Soap Opera Digest. “I get whatever the vegetarian option is, and Tajh and I have lunch together. If we still have scenes to do, we’ll go over them while we eat and then we go back up and finish. The commissary isn’t open anymore, so since Covid happened, GH provides boxed lunches on stage and we grab them from a table. There are usually two meat options and a vegetarian option, or a meat option, a pescatarian option and a vegetarian option. If there’s a pescatarian option, I will almost always grab that, but today, it was vegetarian. Usually, it’s a sandwich or a rice/salad type of bowl. They taste a lot better than they look most of the time! I always sneak up early because the vegetarian option is the first one snapped up, and if I’m still on set taping and won’t be able to get to the food on time, I ask somebody to grab a vegetarian box for me and put it to the side.”

So I workout about 5 days a week- not always consecutively – and I allow myself to miss days/ sleep in when the mood strikes. I’m not a fitness fanatic, but I always feel amazing after a great workout. And that makes me happy.”

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
