It's about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can't hide. That's not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now."

"I just had this conversation with my therapist the other day, actually, it was like: 'You're still putting yourself in boxes. You've worked your entire life to not be in boxes, and now you're doing it to yourself.' It's this weird addiction I think we have as humans, to fit into something."

"I bring these everywhere. I'm always showing up to set with eye masks on. Skin care has definitely gotten more important to me as I've learned the importance of skin care."

"Depending on how much sleep I got the night before, I work out in the morning because I feel like it wakes me up and it gets me ready for the day. I like how I look when I've been in the gym consistently. After that, I try to take a moment to read a devotional, do some journaling, or write a gratitude list before I start running around. I use this time to be grateful and to prepare my mind and my spirit for the day ahead. If you wake up and you just feel like it's going to be a bad day, that's probably how your day is going to pan out."

Zendaya and China Anne McClain worked on Disney Channel shows at the same time. Zendaya even guest-starred on McClain's show, ANT Farm. McClain talked about making a decision to cut her hair to Teen Vogue. "I never would've cut it when I was younger for a few different reasons. It was a security blanket to me. I was a Black girl with long hair, it was down my back and I always had people commenting on it like, 'Is all that your hair? It's so pretty?' but at some point, I realized that I was hiding behind it for that reason."

"I was intensely involved in the theatre in high school and used it to channel all of my stress. We talked about that when we were trying to figure out what the storyline for the second season would be. I trust Sam; he knows my strengths, so I felt like I could take more risks with my performance."

Barbie Ferreira is another of Zendaya's Euphoria co-stars. She talked about the importance of not putting pressure on yourself to WhoWhatWear. "I feel like I had a lot of things come up emotionally because of the pandemic, and putting some of that into this season was therapeutic for me," she said. "I hope other people [watching] can also feel the same way and release the pressure of being perfect and happy all the time. Because that just doesn't exist."

Nika King plays Zendaya's mother on Euphoria. In an interview with Westlake Malibu Magazine, she talked about the importance of being positive. "I have a spirit of positivity. I believe it is possible for us to live in harmony with each other; to be kinder to each other. Each one of us can make such a difference."
