Chelsea Gray is an amazing player in the WNBA. She has played for the Las Vegas Aces since 2021. Gray had previously played for the Connecticut Sun and the Los Angeles Sparks. Gray and the Aces are prepping for the playoffs. She shared some playing highlights on Instagram this week, and captioned the post, “Regular season ✌️Playoffs loading.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Chelsea Gray stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Humble

Gray has achieved a lot in her career. However, she doesn’t want to brag about herself too much. She talked about this to Just Women’s Sports. “I’m not always the one that is going to be super loud and yelling about what I’ve done. I let my work speak for itself, but it was really nice to have one of my teammates say what I don’t always say.”

2. She Tracks Her Sleep

Gray shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Sports Business Journal. She says that she has started tracking her sleep, and seeing what helps her get more hours in. “Sleep is a big thing for me after games—I don't sleep that well, especially if it's a loss. So, I started using it to recover muscles. I would use different sets. I started researching cellular health and the advantages of using Haelo. I would use it after a practice or before practice when I needed the extra boost of energy. Then on the mental side of it, I would run different sets to be able to help me sleep or relax. So, it was both sides of using Haelo, both the mental and the physical side, that really helped throughout the bubble.”

3. She Cut Out & Limited Most Meat

No,Meat,Stamp,Seal,With,Grunged,Texture.,Designed,With,BullShutterstock

Gray shared with Sports Business Journal that she has had to make some changes in her diet. “Back in college, I injured myself a lot,” she explained. “My college career was cut short because of injuries. So, the last three to four seasons, I've really tried to figure out what to put in my body. I've cut out certain things. Food-wise, I've cut out pork. I don't consume as much red meat anymore.”

4. She Recovers

Gray shared her secrets for recovering from exercise and preventing injuries with Sports Business Journal. “Things like Normatec. Game Ready, obviously, that's been around for a long time. Compex, I'm able to transport the stim unit without having it in a wall, so it's like a smaller stim unit. I've used the Hypervolt and the Theragun. I actually used something this summer—it goes from hot to cold, it’s called the Kelby. It doesn't get as cold as the Game Ready, and it's not as hot as a heating pad, but still having the contrast is good. It didn't work for me as much, but I've tried that. I probably would have to try that a little bit more.”

5. She Cooks

During the pandemic, Gray and her wife started cooking a lot more. “We found we were able to cook different meals,” she told Sports Business Journal. “We made zucchini lasagna. That was amazing. We’ve made it like once or twice since, but we'll probably go back to that this summer. And I enjoy cooking. I love being in the kitchen and just enjoying and bringing things to life. So, I just found different things to do. It was a fun experience to be able to just be at home because I'm never really in one place for longer than 10 to 14 days.”

Stephanie Chung, a CrossFit athlete, embraces her fitness journey by staying consistent and intentional with her workouts. She shared on Instagram, “Gym time is me time! Worth it even if I only have 60 mins.” Stephanie knows the value of investing in herself and prioritizing health and wellness. Here’s a look at how she keeps herself active, strong, and motivated.

1. She warms up

Warming up before a workout is important, and Stephanie prioritizes getting her body ready to make her workouts safe and effective. Before a workout, she preps for 12 minutes, doing a barbell warm up, as seen on her Instagram. She leads up to weighted workouts with the barbell.

2. She does a gymnastics primer

Gymnastics is a fun way to get a workout in, challenging various muscles throughout the body. During her workout, she does prep work including a gymnastics primer, as seen on her Instagram. According to the Mayo Clinic, “no matter what your current weight is, being active boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, the "good" cholesterol, and it decreases unhealthy triglycerides. This one-two punch keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which lowers your risk of heart and blood vessel, called cardiovascular, diseases.”

3. She does bike and activation work

Stephanie Chung.3Stephanie Chung/Instagram

She does 2 rounds of bike and activation work, as seen on her Instagram. According to Better Health, “cycling is mainly an aerobic activity, which means that your heart, blood vessels and lungs all get a workout. You will breathe deeper, perspire and experience increased body temperature, which will improve your overall fitness level.”

4. She runs

She gets a run in, spending time outdoors, as seen on her Instagram. “Wanted a cute pic on our trail run, but got this blurry one instead which is honestly way more realistic 🥲😵‍💫#RoadToBetter #ComebackKid #GirlsWhoLift #IAMNOBULL.” According to the Mayo Clinic, running has quite an impact on your overall health. “You may feel tired when you first start regular aerobic exercise. But over the long term, you'll enjoy increased stamina and reduced fatigue. You can also gain increased heart and lung fitness and bone and muscle strength over time.”

5. She does muscle up drills

She takes pull ups to the next level. “Introducing you to some of my favorite bar muscle up drills 👋🏼 Give these a go if you want to get your first BMU, get rid of the “chicken-wing” turnover, increase the efficiency of your swing, & hit larger sets under fatigue,” she said on an Instagram video of her working out.

Twilight star Ashley Greene is giving fans a glimpse at the highlights of her year so far. Greene, 36, shared several pictures of herself and family, including one of the star wearing black leggings and a purple workout top, looking fresh-faced and very toned. “Life lately,” she captioned the post, adding the word “commitment” for her workout selfie. Greene is now the co-owner of a gym, and her fitness routine has adapted to motherhood—here’s how the actress stays fit and full of energy.

1. Sweating For Good Headspace

Greene previously talked about her love for Rise Nation workouts in Los Angeles. “Mentally, for me, it’s so important. It really keeps me kind of sharp and focused,” she told Women’s Health. “I kind of alternate between doing the Versa classes and strength training and I’m waiting for the day that I can do them both in one day! It’s always that thing where, even when I don’t go to the gym, if I’m just sweating and being active – even if it’s not an intense session – I always feel so much better and things are much more organized in my head.”

2. Fueling Her Workouts

Toast,With,Peanut,Butter,,Banana,Slices,,Honey,And,Almond,FlakesShutterstock

Greene eats to fuel her workouts. “I used to have to have breakfast, but it was, like, yogurt,” she told Women’s Health. “Now I have to have two pieces of wholegrain toast and almond butter, honey and bananas on top. That would bother some people because it’s got a decent amount of fat, but you have to recognise that it’s fuel; it doesn’t matter if I’m putting calories and fat into my body – I need it to do the type of strength training that I like to do.”

3. Postpartum Fitness

Greene was careful about jumping back into her workout routine after welcoming daughter Kingsley Rainn in September 2022. "I wanted to feel fully back into my body… I really wanted to focus on making sure that I gave myself enough rest for everything to go back into place, and made sure that I wasn't trying to jump back into where I was and hurting myself," she told PEOPLE. "I feel like there's this idea that you are cleared after eight weeks and you can just jump back in, and that is so far from the case. I think it's really damaging to a lot of people.”

4. Learning Self-Confidence

Greene has learned to become comfortable and confident in her own skin. “I don't know that I've ever met someone who hasn't had some type of insecure moment or stage,” she told HuffPost. “You're growing and you're learning, and some days are good and some are bad. I'm definitely the most comfortable in my skin than I've ever been. I understand that a lot of things aren't the end of the world.”

5. Gym Owner

Greene and husband Paul Khory opened their own gym NexGen Fitness in Sherman Oaks, CA, and she is thrilled her daughter will grow up being familiar with the place. “She was just running around this place that holds so much importance to all of us,” she told PEOPLE. “She’ll grow up understanding and have such a toolbox for mental health and physical fitness and reproductive rights, and that’s such a cool thing to be able to give all that to your daughter. It’s much more fulfilling to put your name and your face behind something that you truly care about."

Alissa Violet is a successful influencer and YouTuber. She also has a large following on Instagram. In September, she shared a carousel post of her recent life updates on her account. In the post, Violet is seen spending time with her dogs, hiking, and going to a fitness class. She captioned it, “September.”

She Hikes

Violet is seen hiking in her Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “‘Navigating a winding, wooded trail can help your body build endurance, strength, and coordination,’ says Dr. Edward Phillips, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. ‘Hiking over uneven terrain requires more energy than walking on a level surface, so it burns more calories. If you are hiking uphill, your body has to work even harder,’ he says. A rigorous hike may offer many of the same physical benefits as interval training, which alternates low- and high-intensity exercise to increase cardiovascular fitness. During a hike, your heart rate goes up as you move up an incline and drops when you head downhill.”

She Swims

Violet also likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself in a pool. Violet captioned the post, “It’s giving nirvana.” Harvard Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Relatively few people swim on a regular basis, so large studies looking at the benefits of physical activity in relation to cardiovascular health have tended to lump swimming together with other types of exercise. Plenty of evidence points to lower rates of heart disease among people who do regular, moderate- to vigorous-intensity exercise — and swimming laps definitely fits the bill.”

She Goes To Fitness Classes

Violet shared this video on YouTube of some of her favorite workouts. In it, she is seen in a fitness class. According to Iowa State University, group exercise has a lot of benefits. “The highest quality or type of motivation is called intrinsic motivation – you’re doing something because the behavior itself is enjoyable, satisfying or both. If you enjoy exercise and not just the positive feelings you get after you’ve worked out, you are more likely to stick with it. Exercising with other people can supply that enjoyment, even if the activity itself is difficult or otherwise not something you love. Group exercise can turn working out into a fun social activity, which could lead to you continuing to do it.”

She Uses A Treadmill

Alissa Violet jigs on a treadmill.

Alissa Violet/Instagram

In her YouTube video, Violet is seen on the treadmill. Harvard Health states that doing this has a lot of health benefits. "While treadmills may seem boring, they can offer a good alternative for exercise, depending on how you use them," says Dr. Adam Tenforde, with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. "There is so much more to treadmills than just 'push the button and start walking.' They also can be helpful for people recovering from an injury or surgery, since you can control the speed and intensity, and they are equipped with handrails for added support when needed.”

She Stretches

Alissa Violet is seen stretching.

Alissa Violet/Instagram

Violet is also seen stretching in her YouTube video. Stretching is very important. Harvard Health states, “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Carys Gray is an influencer known for sharing her fitness, weight loss, and body positivity journey. Recently, she shared a body positive post on Instagram. Gray captioned the post, “Recent reality snippets 📷 I wouldn’t change it for the world, but sometimes social media can make me feel like I should try to get my act together more and be more picture perfect 😒summer is the peak time for perfect glowing posed pictures which I loveee to see BUT I also love to see the messy chaos and perfectly imperfect moments. Which there are far far far more of in my life than the picture perfect ones 🤣🥹 don’t you dare forget that this summer as you’re scrolling!!!! Your perfectly chaotic messy life is perfect just as it is.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Carys Gray stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Writes A Feel-Good List Each Day

Gray revealed in this Instagram post that she likes to write lists of what wellness practices she does each day. “FEEL GOOD FOR SUMMER WITH ME,” she wrote in the caption. “A little series/challenge I’m starting. Who’s joining me??🙋🏼‍♀️ all we have to do is write a daily feel good to do list which revolves around small steps you’d like to take towards a healthier, stronger, happier you 🧡 this is NOT about looks, weight or body shape, this is not about putting pressure on yourself or restricting yourself. This is not about strict routines or schedules. This is about LOVE, Self care, kindness, respect and trying our best for our bodies however that may look 🧡 I’ve included an example of one of my feel good to do lists in this post along with some other reminders we all need before starting our little series together. LET’S GO GUYS.”

2. She Enjoys Exercising

Gray shared this video on Instagram of herself working out. She revealed in the caption that she loves to exercise. “I still love working on celebrating my body shape at different stages of my life but how my body looks is no longer the reason I step foot in the gym🙅🏼‍♀️ it’s so much more than that now. Here’s some things I love about exercise that aren’t related to how my body looks: - Mental health benefits. - Getting stronger. - Feeling powerful and confident. - Releases endorphins. - Reduces anxiety levels. - Gives me a sense of accomplishment / challenges my body. - Improves my fitness so I can run around with Amber. - Easier to get to sleep. - More energy in the days/mornings. - Looking after myself / Self care 🤍”

3. She Lifts Weights

Carys GrayCarys Gray/Instagram

In the previous Instagram post, Gray is seen doing RDLs with a weight. ACE Fitness states that lifting heavy weights is very beneficial. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

4. She Swims

Gray loves to swim to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself in the pool. Gray captioned the post, “Spa day ✨ I remember when I first started gaining weight I put away all my bikinis and ordered 3 full body swimsuits from ASOS...🙄 I’ve come a long way since then but all I can say is, wear what you want and feel GOOD in it!!! You shine brightest when you’re just being YOU from the inside out ✨ ps: the water was SO much colder than I thought it was going to be.”

5. She’s Positive

Gray is all about positivity, and she talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “I doubt any of us would define ‘living life’ as tearing ourselves down 80% of the time??! So why do we do it!!!? Living life is showing up exactly AS WE ARE! Whatever stage we’re at, life keeps going and we gotta keep up! Constantly being our biggest critic is exhausting and a WASTE of time. Our ‘best self’ isn’t us at our ‘slimmest’ or ‘curviest’ or ‘in 2008...’ this is the NOW and this is YOU. You’re bloody fabulous!! Show up, exist, be you, accept, love, laugh, grow, and realise.. you are ENOUGH.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
