Coco Gauff Shares Her Post-Match Recovery Routine and How She Stays Healthy

American pro tennis player, Coco Gauff, rose to fame within the sport after beating Venus Williams at the Wimbledon Championships at 15 years old. As a force to be reckoned with, Coco is obviously an incredible athlete which stems from her day-to-day recovery, health and wellness routines. Here are 5 things that Coco does to make sure that her recovery goes well, in addition to staying in shape in her daily life.
She takes time to recover

Coco needed to focus on her recovery after the Madrid Open, saying, “when I started my first practice, I felt 100%. I took three days off after my last match, and I feel fine, like nothing happened. It was definitely a weird maybe 48 to 72 hours, but I got through some tough ones, and I had chances in the last match. So, given I wasn’t feeling 100% is definitely some positives to take for sure,” she said.
She spends time in the water

Coco enjoys spending time outdoors, embracing all of the sunny weather in Florida. Florida also makes it easy for her to enjoy time along the coast, fully diving into her love of the water. On a video on Instagram of her swimming and playing in the water, she said “I love florida & I love being in the water #letterhomeaholic.”
She powers through
Even when it’s not the outcome she had hoped for and trained for, she powers through the emotions and sees the positive side. “Left it all out there yesterday… didn’t get the result I wanted but man that was [so much] fun. Battles like this make it worth it, a lot to learn from. Thank you Dubai,” she said on Instagram.
She’s goal oriented
She chases her athletic dreams, setting goals and fighting to achieve them. “Wow. This means so much to me truly….French open champion. I worked so hard for this moment and for it to have happened is insane. Thank you God ❤️ and thank you everyone. This means the world…. I’m still in shock honestly can’t find the words but all I can say for now is just thank you and never give up on your dreams,” she said.
She stays grateful
As she accomplishes her dreams, making them a reality, she always remembers to stay grateful for the people in her life and her accomplishments. “A lot of dreams fulfilled, a lot of love shared, and a lot of gratitude. ty 2025,” she said on Instagram on an end of the year reflection post, celebrating 2025.
