Emma Watson has been acting since she was young. She broke onto the scene with her role in the popular Harry Potter film series. After that, she starred as Belle in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty and The Beast. She also starred in the 2019 film adaptation of Little Women. Watson is also a prolific activist, speaking about the importance of feminism and equal rights. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Emma Watson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Embraces Her Natural Beauty

Watson shared some of her skincare tips with Into The Gloss. She says that she is a lot more confident with herself and is embracing her natural beauty. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve embraced my freckles much more and I want to be able to see them. When we were filming Beauty and the Beast, I insisted on keeping my freckles as a part of the movie. There are so many young girls who are going through puberty who really hate having them, so I felt the need to say that I have them and that I think the look of natural skin is beautiful.”

2. She Makes Skincare A Priority

Watson tells Into The Gloss that skincare is a big priority to her. “I think it’s because, when I was going through puberty—particularly around ages 14 and 15—I had really bad skin. So when you get in a good place with your skin, you really appreciate it and try to take care of it.”

3. She’s Consistent With Skincare

Watson tells Into The Gloss that she always makes sure to wash her face and go through her skincare routine each day. “No matter what, I always wash my face at night. I could get back from a shoot at 4 AM and still cleanse, tone, and moisturize before going to bed. People are amazed by this, but it’s just one of those self-care practices that I really enjoy.”

4. Subhead Goes Right Here

Watson tells Into The Gloss that she makes sure to keep her skin moisturized. “Now my skin tends to run pretty dry,” she says. “So I use the Évolué Gentle Cleanser and Firming Toner because it doesn’t have tons of alcohol in it or make your skin sting, but it really does the job. And then I switch up my moisturizers depending on what issue I’m trying to address.”

5. She Makes Time To Relax

Women's,Feet,She,Was,Bathing,In,A,A,Bathtub,WithShutterstock

Watson has a busy schedule, but she always makes time to relax. “I have a bath every single day of my life,” she tells Into The Gloss. “And if I can have two or three—amazing. Nothing terrible is going to happen in the bath, so I always find time for that. I’ll take phone conversations in the bath, anything. Sometimes I’ll use Epsom salts and oils, but my favorite is the C.O Bigelow Apothecary Cold and Flu Soak.”

6. She Doesn’t Make Things Stressful

When it comes to skincare, Watson doesn’t like to stress herself too much. “Most of my routine keeps to an 80/20 philosophy,” she tells Into The Gloss. “Because it’s very difficult to be a complete purist, especially when working in the film industry. You can end up driving yourself a bit mad and make it more stressful than it should be. Sometimes you just need a mascara to be waterproof and that’s OK.”

7. She Wants To Educate Herself

Group,Of,Activists,With,Banners,Protesting,Over,Pollution,And,GlobalShutterstock

Watson is an open activist, and she tells Vogue that she wants to always work on doing better. “I saw ‘white feminism’ coming up again and again, and I was like, ‘Hey, this is clearly something that I have to meaningfully engage with. I have to understand this better.’” Watson also says that she is a supporter of the trans community. “Having spoken with, or having friends who are trans, there’s so many more important issues that are not being discussed. We’re dealing with life-and-death stuff.”

1. Carrie Underwood: Count Macros Instead of Calories

2021 CMT Music Awards - Red CarpetGetty Images

Country darling Carrie Underwood ditched calorie counting and instead started keeping track of macros. “I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” she explained to Women’s Health about her struggles with trying to stay slim in her younger years, sometimes eating as few as 800 calories per day. “Your body is screaming ‘I need more calories. I need more carbs!’" The “wannabe vegan” works with nutritionist Cara Clark, focusing on maintaining a healthy balance of 25 percent protein, 45 percent carbs and 30 percent fat. "I love rules," she admitted to Women’s Health.

2. Jennifer Lopez: Work Out “Harder and Smarter”

Jennifer Lopez has adapted her fitness regiment over the years. However, instead of working out more, she is smarter about her workouts. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now. It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter,” she told InStyle. “And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Vanessa Hudgens: Work Out with Others

Vanessa Hudgens can afford to pay a personal trainer for one-on-one workouts, but opts for group fitness and workout buddies instead. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told Popsugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." The 32-year-old is a devotee of The Dogpound, a hardcore boot camp style studio The Dogpound she regularly visits with her friends. "HOT GIRL SUMMER IN FULL EFFECT," the gym recently wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of sweating alongside GG Magree in an intense HIIT workout.

4. Rebel Wilson: Approach Weight Loss From All Sides...Including Emotional

2020 AACTA Awards Presented by Foxtel | Television Ceremony

Working out and eating right are only part of the equation to weight loss, per actress Rebel Wilson, who lost a whopping 60 pounds in less than a year. While she majorly revamped her diet and embarked on a fitness routine, it was the work she did on the instead that helped her achieve her goals. "I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra.

5. Rita Ora: Focus On Strength, Not Weight Loss

Instead of trying to lose weight or get to a certain clothing size, Rita Ora suggests putting your focus on getting stronger. "I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that,” she told Shape. “Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong," she said. "I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal."

6. Kate Hudson: Move a Little Every Day

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsGetty Images

Kate Hudson has always been devoted to fitness. One of her stay-fit secrets? She moves every day. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she told InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

7. Jessica Simpson: Get Your Steps In

Create & Cultivate Los AngelesGetty Images

After tipping the scales at 240 pounds during her pregnancy with third child, Birdie Mae, Jessica Simpson started walking her way to a 100-pound weight loss with the help of trainer Harley Pasternak. He started off by setting her goal at 6,000 steps and then eventually upping it to 14,000. "It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever. That's why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise,” he told E! about the weight loss strategy he developed for the star, which also included healthy eating, sleep, and full body workouts. “Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health,” she captioned a 2020 Instagram post.

8. Halle Berry: You Have to Commit

Halle Berry, 54, looks half her age. According to the star, her biggest secret to staying in shape is her commitment to healthy living, including workouts with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, diet tips, and healthy living mantras. “You just have to have the will and the desire,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about what it takes to stay fit. “And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

9. Nicole Scherzinger: Everything in Moderation

FOX's The Masked Singer - Season FiveGetty Images

"Don't deprive yourself of anything because eventually you'll crave it and then you might binge on it. Everything in moderation," Nicole Scherzinger told Women's Health UK about her dietary rule. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. For dinner, anything from pasta to rice, and meats and veggies, to sushi. When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. I love French fries, or crisps – salt and vinegar crisps. In terms of snacks: almonds, coconut water, bits of coconut, baby carrots."

10. Gabrielle Union: Don’t Commit to One Workout Only

2021 Billboard Music Awards - BackstageGetty Images

Gabrielle Union allows her workout routine to evolve. "As the workout phases come and go, I'll try everything," she previously told Women's Health. "Nothing, not one thing, has stuck. I've tried kickboxing, cardio barre, I've tried a SoulCycle class...I'm not a class person." In a 2019 Instagram post, she also revealed that her motivations for exercise are also evolving. “There are times I workout for a job or specific athletic goals but usually I workout to maintain my peace. Sometimes i grunt, grimace, scream...many times I've cried while training. I've cried due to frustration. I've cried from physical pain. Many times I've cried as my fears and anxiety leave my body. For me, I'm always working out my spirit and exercising my soul. This morning felt like the end of a week of taking Ls, but today I got up and reminded myself that even when I lose, I win because I'm committed to learning and evolving,” she wrote.

Kate Winslet has been the poster child for strong, curvy women since bursting into superstardom with her role in the 1997 blockbuster movie Titanic. Winslet, 47, has a down-to-earth approach to health and wellness that focuses on energy, happiness, and real beauty. So how exactly does she stay so strong and maintain her physique? Here’s what her diet and exercise regimen looks like.

1. Yoga and Cardio

Winslet enjoys a variety of workouts to help keep herself happy and healthy. “Power yoga class a couple of times a week, some barre, cardio, and we have a dog, so I love going on walks,” she says. “I drink lots and lots of water! I’m really trying to be healthy.”

2. At-Home Pilates

Winslet likes working out in the peace and quiet of her home when possible. “I have a mat and little hand weights and I do a stomach thing and a bum thing. It’s very simple – you barely break into a sweat,” she says. “Here’s what’s so great about it: no one’s looking at you, no one’s telling you what to do or work harder or anything like that. I know it seems slightly tragic but it’s my way of exercising in a time-efficient way.”

3. Lots of Juicing

Green,Juice,From,AboveShutterstock

Winslet drinks plenty of green juice she makes at home from fresh vegetables. “Our fridge is always full of spinach, kale, cucumbers,” she says. “I’m vegetarian and my husband is vegan, so there’s a lot of plant-based focus in our home. My husband turning vegan is relatively recent, so that’s been a really fun education because you have to learn to be a little more inventive with foods.”

4. Her Beauty and Wellness Mantra

Winslet believes in the power of good habits to ensure optimum wellness. “Beauty in your 40s is about depth and experience. And good habits,” she says. “Drink lots of water. Get outdoors as much as you can. Also, I exercise a lot and that makes an enormous difference in terms of endorphins and skin health.”

5. Portion Control

Winslet refuses to diet, but is sensible about indulging in treats. “When it comes to dieting, I just don't care,” she says. “I watch myself as much as any average woman does, you know? I'll eat one cookie, not a whole box of cookies. But I'll still eat the one cookie...sometimes two, or even three. But not the whole box.”

6. No Scales, Ever

Bathroom,Scales,On,White,Background,,Top,View.,Weight,Loss,ConceptShutterstock

Winslet refuses to weigh herself, instead focusing on overall health. The actress relies on a healthy diet and regular exercise to look and feel good. “I don’t know how much I weigh, I haven’t weighed myself in 12 years,” she says. “Top tip: it’s a great move.”

7. Health For Beauty

"Avatar: The Way Of Water" World Premiere – ArrivalsKarwai Tang/Getty Images

Winslet knows that exercise and diet make a huge impact on appearance. “These days, I’m a little more health-conscious in terms of thinking about the next 10 years of my life,” she says. “[I] want to maximize my physical strength and keep my skin good without doing anything to my face. I do believe that beauty and wellness really reflects in your face, in your eyes, and how you feel. It goes hand in hand with elegance as well. I think a woman that looks well and confident is innately elegant.”

50 is the new 30 – in Hollywood at least. These celebrities have been in the public eye for decades, but somehow manage to majorly delay the aging process. From taking care of their skin and undergoing the latest treatments to remaining dedicated to healthy eating and exercise, we have compiled the longevity secrets of some of the most high-profile stars who look sensational in their 50s.

1. Bethenny Frankel: She Doesn’t Diet

2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Bethenny Frankel, 52, has one big dietary secret – she doesn’t diet. "I’m old enough to know that fat-free was a craze, low-carb, eat your weight in meat and cheese was a phase, keto is a fad, the Zone was a moment, and so on .... so yes, I eat carbs. I eat everything, but I don’t binge," the Real Housewives star dished to Good Housekeeping. "What I eat has no consistency. Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

2. Jennifer Lopez: No Alcohol, Healthy Diet, and “Harder and Smarter” Workouts

The Mother New York Tastemaker EventKevin Mazur/Getty Images

"I'm in the best shape of my life," Jennifer Lopez, 53, told InStyle in 2021. The star attributes her ageless beauty to a healthy diet, lots of water, and zero alcohol. She has also been extremely devoted to exercise. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she revealed. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Paulina Porizkova: Gracefully Aging with Daily Exercise

Fifth Season And Vertical Host A Special Screening Of "Maybe I Do"Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, 58, believes in aging gracefully. And while she didn’t start exercising until she was 40, she now works out almost daily. “I try to exercise at least 3-5 days a week. And you know what? I ... hate it,” she said in one of her workout videos. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest. BUT. I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for. It makes you feel good, look good, good for your brain and body - a small miracle that has to be paid of by a little discomfort.” Her favorite workouts include dancing, rowing, and pilates.

4. Kelly Ripa: “I Work Out Seven Days a Week”

Variety's 2023 Power Of Women - ArrivalsDia Dipasupil/Getty Images

Kelly Ripa, 52, never skips a workout "I work out seven days a week," she told In the Know. "And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not. If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness." She also avoids alcohol and maintains a super clean alkaline diet.

5. Jennifer Aniston: She Switches Up Her Workouts

Los Angeles Premiere Of Netflix's "Murder Mystery 2" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Jennifer Aniston, 54, recently revealed to Bustle that she toned down her super-aggressive “feel the burn” approach to exercise. “I work out about three to four times a week, which is basically all your body really needs. I’ll do Pvolve, and then to switch it up, sometimes I’ll do Pilates, or sometimes I’ll take a hike,” she said. She also focuses on recovery. I love an infrared sauna or an Epsom salt bath. Those are two really good for drawing that lactic acid out, and I’ll even use my hands or a little gua sha on my legs for the same purpose.”

6. Jennifer Garner: Daily Cardio Sessions

On Jennifer Garner’s 51st birthday earlier this year she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and revealed her secret to longevity. “What I do in the morning is I work out,” Garner said. “You’ve gotta do hard cardio to get that—to get yourself—I’m sorry, you do,” she said. “We need it in our bodies, but we need it in our brains. Your brain needs it!” she exclaimed. “You find something that actually makes you feel joyful while you’re doing it or it won’t work.”

7. Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, 50, regularly jokes that she isn’t a fan of exercise. However, as she has gotten older she has incorporated weights into her routine. “The one thing that I have done that really has made a difference in my body is lifting weights. Not crazy weights. But, you know, like five pounds, seven pounds, 10 pounds. Twelve pounds is the maximum I can do. It keeps your muscles tight, and your skin tighter to you,” she explained to Health. “I’ve done Pilates and spinning, and I’ve tried all sorts of things—and they’re great.”

Simpson tries to stay hydrated throughout the day, as recommended by her nutritionist, Liz Josefsburg. Josefsburg told HollywoodLife.com, “Hydration is a secret weapon for weight loss. In my book Target 100 I urge people to get in at least 100 ounces per day. Which might seem like a lot, but it is right for our bodies. Staying fully hydrated while losing weight is critical. Much of the overeating we do is mistaking thirst for hunger. If we can keep our bodies, which are made up of over 60% water, hydrated, they burn calories and metabolize food at an optimal rate!”

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
