A gluten-free diet is a must for folks with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. But sometimes, people choose to cut out wheat, barley, rye, and some oats by choice because of perceived health benefits, like weight loss or improved digestion. Either way, going gluten-free has become a more common diet trend in recent years, including with celebrities. Here's a closer look at 10 tasty gluten-free snacks celebrities love.

1. Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba, 44, previously opened up about ditching gluten because of food allergies.

As she told Delish that her go-to snacks are either popcorn or hummus with cucumber, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes and cauliflower.

2. Zooey Deschanel

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, 45, has not only celiac disease but also a soy allergy.

"My favorite snack, I recommend it to everybody, because I just think it's the best snack. I haven't had one person that doesn't really agree with me once they start doing this snack, and it's a classic: an apple and peanut butter," she told EatingWell. "Can't go wrong. It's healthy. It has fiber and vitamins, carbs, protein and fat. It's got everything, and it sustains you [for] a long time."

3. Jessica Simpson

As Jessica Simpson, 44, told Elle, she follows a gluten-free diet because of her wheat allergy. She's also allergic to cheese, tomatoes, hot peppers, coffee, chocolate, and corn.

One of her favorite high-protein (and gluten-free) snacks, especially on the go is Chicken of the Sea tuna pouches—a genius collaboration, considering the former Newlyweds star's infamous comment about tuna.

4. Emmy Rossum

Shameless star Emmy Rossum, 38, is another celeb who is gluten-free due to celiac disease.

"Gluten-free whoopee pies are amazing," she previously told HuffPost. Additionally, when asked about one thing she always has in her refrigerator, the actress told the publication, "Muenster cheese. I'm a cheese person!"

5. Katy Perry

Recently, Katy Perry, 40, dished on her favorite snacks while on tour. The "Firework" singer, who follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet, admitted her go-to's are "really California crunchy."

She told USA Today, "It's literally, like, avocados, Himalayan salt for the avocados, Bragg apple cider vinegar, Siete chips with a little hint of lime, OK? Hummus."

6. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, is generally gluten-free by choice but occasionally breaks her rules.

"Maybe I'll have some cashews or pretzels or something like that but I usually need something salty and crunchy in the afternoon," she told Harper's Bazaar, per SheFinds, of her snacking habits. "And then I'll have a cup of green tea with that and that'll hold me through until dinner."

7. Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian, 46, is a vegan who previously talked about going gluten-free. One of her  go-to snacks is kale chips; she even has a recipe on her Poosh website for her favorite cajun kale chips.

8. Miranda Kerr

Australian model Miranda Kerr, 42, is mostly gluten-free by choice. As she shared with Harper's Bazaar, Miranda loves smoothies made with almond milk, fresh papaya, spinach, blueberries, raspberries, and almond butter.

9. Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus, 32, follows a gluten-free and lactose-free diet because of allergies.

"For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!" she tweeted back in 2012, per the Los Angeles Times.

Although the "Flowers" singer hasn't shared much recently about her diet, she did open up about one food she's obsessed with during an appearance on the Zach Sang Show in 2019.

"My favorite food ever is probably fried corn," she said, adding she likes to dip it in spicy sauce.

Megan Fox, 38, is another celebrity who has chosen to follow a gluten-free diet.

"I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy," she previously told E! News.

Although Fox isn't a big snacker, personal trainer Harley Pasternak told PEOPLE that she loves smoothies with "whatever berries are in season, chai tea, a scoop of protein powder and little bit of almond milk."
