Kim Raver is celebrating National Women’s Health and Fitness Day – in her swimsuit. In a new post the Grey’s Anatomy star shows off her incredible body in a bathing suit while stressing the importance of exercise. “You all know how important I think it is to move my body so I’m passing along a little journey of my own in the hopes that maybe it will resonate with you and encourage you to begin or continue your own health journey,” she captioned the post, revealing one of her new favorite workouts. How does the star approach health and wellness and what is the latest workout she is obsessed with? Celebwell has all the answers.

1. She Thinks of “Food for Health”

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,2:,Kim,Raver,At,The,2023Shutterstock

Kim doesn’t look at numbers. "I really love the idea of food for health. I don’t think in terms of calories. When you’re eating well you sleep better and your skin looks better. I know when I sit in the hair-and-makeup chair and I haven’t drunk enough water,” she told WebMD.

2. Her Diet Is Healthy and Clean

"My go-to weeknight dinner is grilled chicken breast or salmon with string beans and salad. I might put in quinoa or brown rice depending on how much cardio I’ve done. If I’m working on set, I might grab [everything] at Whole Foods and put it together myself,” she told WebMD.

3. She Loves Coffee

Kim “always” has coffee in her pantry. “Coffee is an absolute must. I would probably take that before I would take makeup with me somewhere! My one ahhh moment is coffee and dark chocolate,” she told WebMD. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

4. She Runs

Westwood,,Ca,Usa,-,April,26,,2023:,Kim,Raver,AttendsShutterstock

"I put my running sneakers in my bag everywhere I go," Raver, who has done a half-marathon, told Self. "If I see them there and I put them on, then I gotta do it. It's my no-excuse way. For me, it's really just about having my time to have solitude and disconnect."

5. She Cycles

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,21:,Kim,Raver,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

"When I’m in L.A. and New York, I’m addicted to 'SoulCycle.' It’s a good combination of [indoor cycling] with a little bit of soul and a lot of workout. You walk out of there dripping wet -- it’s awesome," Kim added to WebMD about one of her other favorite workouts.

6. She Does Yoga

Kim also loves to strike a pose. “Yoga combines it all. It gives me some downtime. It gives me a workout. It gives me my own mental space, where there is no BlackBerry, no phone, no fax, no work, no one needing anything from me. One of the biggest challenges of being a working mom is that there's constantly a pull. With yoga I feel like it's a great time for me,” she told Women’s Health.

7. She Swims

In her new post, Kim revealed that she has taken up a new athletic habit. “This summer, I set a goal for myself to become a more athletic swimmer so I feel more confident diving into the ocean off the back of the boat when I'm sailing with Manu. I've heard that it takes 21 days for a practice to become a habit, so I've committed to swimming for ten minutes or more every single day for 21 days,” she wrote. “Some days I loved jumping in the pool and some days I entered hating it because it was late...and I was tired...and the pool felt freezing! But as I swam across the pool I kept telling myself "find the thing I love at this moment," and I know it's cheesy to say, but every single time I got out of the pool I felt better!! I’m on day 23 day of my swimming challenge and feel myself getting stronger every day. I have found something that makes me happy, and I hope you find something physical you love to do and make a commitment to your health and fitness today.”

And actually honing in on that part of my body, or any part of [my] body that is not feeling the anxiety, is something that, in the moment, can kind of cool me down. ... I know it [might] sound funny to some people, but figuring out an area of my body that is not manifesting that physical anxiety really helps me."

I have super-dry skin, but I occasionally still get zits, so this is a really good balancer. It’s also a really good foundation for all of the moisturizer and sunscreen that I put on top of it. And it works as a primer too. It sort of smooths out my complexion, making makeup go on more easily. That said, after I started wearing it about a year and a half ago, I now love having a naked face as often as possible — basically, whenever I don’t have to wear makeup for work.”

There are days when I have to ask too much of it for the sake of getting the shot on set or making the redeye for a friend’s birthday. And that’s okay, because I’m dedicated to giving it what it needs the next day. I listen, I’m proud of my body, I’m grateful for my body, we’re in a full love affair.”

Milan,,Italy,-,April,07:,Patrick,Dempsey,Attends,The,"diavoli"Shutterstock

I keep a spinning bike on the set of Grey’s, but it’s still hard to be consistent. I never know what my schedule is going to be and the days can be a long haul. My goal is to ride my bike 20 miles four or five times a week. It’s a priority because exercise keeps me strong in front of the camera and in the car. The other challenge with my schedule is eating right. If I start to eat ‘bad’ food, all the exercise in the world doesn’t matter. I try really hard to stay away from the doughnuts and sugar, which I think is at the root of so many health problems, including cancer. I eat a lot of almonds!”

Over the years, the character becomes even more intricate and interesting. To play that, it’s been a fantastic exercise. And you develop a real love for this alter ego that you’re playing.”

17. Tessa Ferrer

New,York,,Ny,ñ,October,26:,Tessa,Ferrer,Attends,TheShutterstock

Tessa Ferrer talked about the transition from starring on TV shows to starring on Broadway with BroadwayWorld.com. “It's been more of a challenge than I had anticipated. I haven't done very much theatre, but I did grow up in the theatre world, my mother and grandfather were both in the community. My family also did a traveling Christmas show when I was a young tot [laughs.] Growing up, I had a lot of experience on stage. I went to school for theatre, I've taken endless amounts of classes, but over the last couple of years I've absolutely been training myself more for film and television. And I sometimes feel that working against me in this process.”

18. Rachael Taylor

New,York,,Ny,-,March,7,,2018:,Rachael,Taylor,AttendsShutterstock

Rachael Taylor shared her skincare secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. “In the morning, I start off using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser to get my skin ready for the creams and makeup I’m about to put on. I then lather on a moisturiser with an SPF like the Hydro Boost Water Gel to compliment the cleanser, and then a standalone SPF50 sunscreen – this is a nonnegotiable for me! With makeup, I need to use something lightweight and invisible so I use the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Fluid – it’s so thin, I’m obsessed! In the evening, I keep it simple again, but I switch up my cleansers to ensure I remove every bit of makeup. I use the Hydro Boost Gelee Milk with a cotton pad, it’s gentle and easy to use, even removing my heavy makeup. I then finish it off with a moisturiser again.”

I love how it feels before, during, and after. It feels loving and tender toward myself.”

20. Justin Chambers

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,19:,Justin,Chambers,At,The,34thShutterstock

In 2017, Justin Chambers talked about working on Grey’s to Seattle Refined. "It’s a great blessing, get to work with the people I want to work with, to play a character that’s fun and pay the bills, can’t ask for anything more. You’re on a successful hit show, you enjoy playing these characters, why not just keep riding until people don’t want it?"

21. T.R. Knight

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,12:,T.r.,Knight,Arrives,For,HboísShutterstock

Former Grey’s star, T.R. Knight also starred on The Bravest Knight, where he plays a queer character. Knight talked about the importance of representation to Xtra Magazine. “It’s more about just seeing yourself. You can see the damage that’s done when you don’t know where you fit in or don’t know how you fit in or don’t feel like you fit in. It’s such a falsehood, it’s such a lie, because there is a place. It’s just a matter of who controls what’s being seen, right? There’s a part of me that is, as grateful as I am, a little frustrated that it’s 2021, and this is one of the first shows [to feature a queer family on children’s television]. I just want to leap forward sometimes a bit.”

22. Jesse Williams

Los,Angeles,-,Feb,24:,Jesse,Williams,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Jesse Williams shares some of his diet and exercise secrets with The Bare Magazine. "I have an incredible personal trainer and nutritionist named Yaw Owusu who I work with four times a week one-on-one. We put in very serious athletic, rigorous training. I eat on a pretty regimented plan that is actually not so oppressive, because there's plenty of protein and carbs. So I'm not bird eating or anything.”

23. Jake Borelli

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,02:,Jake,Borelli,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Similar to his Grey’s character, Jake Borelli is gay. He came out after an episode of the show aired on Instagram. Borelli captioned the post, "As a gay guy myself, tonight's episode was so special to me. This is exactly the kind of story I craved as a young gay kid growing up in Ohio, and it blows my mind that I'm able to bring life to Dr. Levi Schmitt as he begins to grapple with his own sexuality this season on Grey’s Anatomy. His vulnerability and courage inspire me every day, and I hope he can do the same for you. To all of you who feel like little Levis out there, know that I do too, that you are seen, and that we're all in this together. And to everyone who has supported me over the years, I can't thank you enough, and I love you more than all the stars…”

24. Eric Dane

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,20:,Eric,Dane,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Eric Dane shared his workout secrets in an interview with Men’s Journal. “I do a lot more cardio, but still no treadmills—you never get anywhere on treadmills. I like lifting weights. And there is a cardio element to lifting if you’re doing it the way I do it. If I can get to the gym 3-4 days a week, and spend 50 minutes to an hour and a half, irrespective of whether I lift something or not, I’m getting in shape.”

25. Harry Shum Jr.

Los,Angeles,-,Oct,23:,Harry,Shum,Jr,At,TheShutterstock

Harry Shum Jr. shared his workout and diet secrets with Men’s Health. “When I was in my twenties and even my teens, I worked out way too hard and worked out to impress,” he said. “Now, I’m just doing it for myself and my health and not pushing myself 100% because nobody’s got time for that. As an actor, you might have to get super skinny or gain a lot of weight. So, maintaining and just keeping a point where I can go one way or the other is my goal right now.”

Angel-Reese-5Angel Reese/Instagram

Reese has an athletic background, and did ballet, cheerleading, track, and volleyball growing up. Her mother also played basketball. “My whole family played basketball,” she says. “My aunts played basketball, my brother plays basketball, my grandparents played basketball. So, it kind of was like, ‘You’re gonna do this.’ I used to go to my mom’s games when I was younger. She used to play in a little league, and I used to always go watch her games on Sundays. That was something that was always inspiring to me. She’s always been independent and she molded that into me. I am who I am because of her.”

Reese is proud of her work for Sports Illustrated, saying it helped her have confidence in her strength and appearance. “I had on thong bathing suits and I didn’t think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable,” she says. “I work out a lot. I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body.”

3. Self-Confidence and Ignoring Hate

Angel-Reese-3Angel Reese/Instagram

Reese doesn't allow criticism to negatively affect her mental health and wellbeing. “For me, you take the good with the bad – I get a lot of positives, so I understand there will be negative and if you’re not getting hate, you’re not doing something right,” she says. “People will always have something to say and it’s normal in the world – they can’t change anything I do or my perspective of things, as I’m going to stand on what I say. That’s just how I move with things.”

4. Career-Focused Plans

Angel-Reese-2Angel Reese/Instagram

Reese has big plans for her career after basketball. “Basketball will stop at some point; however, my current goal is to get drafted in the WNBA after college,” she says. “I would like to be able to start my own fashion line for taller women, which is important for me. My edges, nails, and lashes are always laid, so I would like to come out with a lash line, edge control line, and maybe some bundles, too.”

5. Independent Woman

Reese is grateful she was allowed to discover a love for basketball on her own terms. “[My mother] let me do whatever. I ran track; I did volleyball; I did a little bit of swimming, gymnastics and cheer,” she says. “She never put it on me that I had to play basketball because she did, so she let me experience and do whatever I wanted to do. I just finally decided basketball was going to be my thing. I was kind of good at it, and I was really competitive.”

Big Little Lies, the murder mystery show based on the book of the same name, had us all obsessed with whodunit back in 2017. The stacked cast included A-listers like Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and, in the second season, Meryl Streep, buoyed by a murder's row of familiar faces like Laura Dern and Adam Scott. Set in Monterey, California, the series glowed and so do its actors in real life. Here are their living-well secrets.

1. Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman plays one of the show’s lead characters, Celeste Wright. She opened up about her diet in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “I’m actually not all that strict with my diet. I pretty much eat anything, but all in moderation.”

2. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon plays one of the lead roles, Madeleine Mackenzie. She opened up about her diet with Harper’s Bazaar. Witherspoon says that she believes in balance and moderation. “I eat well the majority of the week,” she says. “One day a week, I get my cheat day, where I eat as much cake and pizza as I want, but I try to be pretty healthy the rest of the time.”

3. Zoe Kravitz

Zoe Kravitz plays Bonnie Carlson. She talked about finding her power in an interview with Glamour. “I think it comes back to choosing your truth and choosing your authenticity over the pressures of the world. It's normal to kind of experiment and go off your path and try to look like someone else, try to act like someone else, and try to fit into a box that you don't fit into. There's always these moments in life where you have to choose: Do I go back to me, or do I transform into something else because I think the world wants me to be something else? I think that's the journey that we're all on as women.”

4. Shailene Woodley

Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' 14th Annual Governors AwardsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

Shailene Woodley plays Jane Chapman. She tells Us Weekly that she loves doing martial arts. “I’ve done jujitsu. Krav Maga. I really love martial arts. There’s a YouTube video called Perfect Lean Body. This woman does leg workouts. They’re 20 minutes long and you sweat and kick your …. But they’re only 20 minutes. It’s fantastic. I use this app called Tabata Timer. It’s high interval training.”

5. Laura Dern

Laura Dern plays Renata Klein, and this has affected her real life. In an interview with Shape, she says that she stopped wearing makeup after getting the role. Dern says that she uses an oil from TrueBotanicals. "I don't do anything to my skin but apply healthy products and get facials, and after six months of using this oil, I thought, 'Wow, there's something to this.'"

6. Adam Scott

Adam Scott plays Ed Mackenzie. He talked about finding success in his 30’s to Men’s Health. “I’m happy it happened that way because I love the stuff that I’m doing now. I love the people I work with, and the stuff I’ve found, and that’s found me. If I would have had the same opportunities when I was 22, there’s a good chance I would have squandered them. I know my work wouldn’t have been any good. This all came at a time when I was finally ready to do it in my life, personally.”

7. James Tupper

James Tupper plays Nathan Carlson on the show. In an interview, he revealed that Alicia Silverstone inspired him to eat a vegan diet. “I started eating vegan food. That's all I had. I'll tell you the inflammation on my body went away. It was incredible. I had a big revelation because I was a steak-eating normal guy. When I started, I shifted my diet dramatically. I started eating a lot less dairy, less red meat, pork, and chicken. Even today, I'm just doing that officially. She really helped me become healthy.”

8. Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton plays Abigail Carlson. She is an avid golfer. "I have some really cute new outfits from my new Polo Ralph Lauren collection, and it's just a good incentive - I finally get to go and show them off,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “It's a great way to get some exercise and just be outside."

9. Alexander Skarsgard

Alexander Skarsgard plays Perry White on the show. He works with trainer, Magnus Lygdback, to help him get in shape. Lygdback shared Skarsgard’s workout routine for The Northman with Men’s Health. "There's many different phases that you've got to go through when working on a project like this. You have the bulk-up phase, then you have the cutting phase, then you have the maintenance phase, and you're going to train and eat differently for all those phases."

Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises

Discover how Tvesa Malik, SuperSport Ladies Championship winner, stays in peak shape with weightlifting, core work, and golf.

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

Camila Guper is more than just a fitness influencer—she’s a motivation powerhouse. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
