Gwyneth has tried endless workout methods over the years, but danced into her best shape ever with the help of trainer Tracy Anderson, declaring herself "a total die-hard" fan of the celeb-loved method. "Her method works so well for me. I've seen all these fads come and go, and nothing works for me the way that Tracy's approach does, so I really stick with it," she told Shape. "She's amazing." On Goop, she wrote: "Many of you may already know of my passion for the Tracy Anderson Method and my investment in it. She has kicked my formerly sagging ass into shape and I will be forever grateful."

Try Oil Pulling

Want to know how Gwyneth keeps her smile looking gorgeous? She attributes her pearly white to oil pulling, an ancient technique that involves swishing raw coconut oil in your mouth.  "It's an Ayurvedic way to remove bacteria from the mouth," she told Harper's Bazaar A 2015 study backs up her claims. "A statistically significant decrease in the plaque and gingival indices was noticed from day 7 and the scores continued to decrease during the period of study," wrote the researchers.

Meditation Is Key to Mental Health

During the pandemic Gwyneth "really recommitted" to her meditation practice, revealing to Vogue she went from doing it "sporadically" to every single morning. "I do Transcendental Meditation, so that's something you learn with a teacher and they give you a mantra. There's an app called Insight Timer that I use, and then sometimes when I need a little meditation in the afternoon [I use] The Breathing App. You follow a ball expanding and contracting and breathe along with it. Even five minutes is really helpful," she revealed. "Paparazzi'd while meditating…" she captioned this Instagram photo.

Detoxify in an Infrared Sauna

Paltrow revealed to Shape that she is a fan of a particular type of saunda. "I love to take an infrared sauna; it's really detoxifying. It's a real gift to myself," she said. "I haven't tried cryotherapy yet because I'm kind of scared to, but they say it's great for pain. Our diets are so full of inflammatory foods that I think we need to do increasingly extreme things to combat it."

5

Try a Cleanse

Gwyneth is always game for a good cleanse. "At Goop they call me 'GP the guinea pig,' because I'll try anything," she told Shape. "I just tried a goat milk cleanse for eight days to rid my system of parasites. That was really interesting. It's only goat's milk and herbs. The theory is that we all have parasites, and they love the milk protein. So if you eat nothing else, they all come out of the intestinal wall and then you kill them with the herbs. I had to try it for Goop, but I felt so good after it."

Eat Clean

When it comes to diet, Gwyneth has a go-to rule: Eat as close to nature as possible. She told Shape that she tries to "eat pretty clean during the day" filling up on "good proteins and lots of vegetables and not too much grain or sugar, and nothing baked" during the day, "and then I tend to eat whatever I want for dinner," she revealed. Chicken and fish seem to be her go-to animal proteins. "Lunch today," she said in one post: "Slow-roasted salmon with spinach, garlic, lemon, shallots, and coriander. Healthy, under 20 minutes, super delish."

Supplement Your Diet

Paltrow regularly promotes supplements, and even has her own GOOP supplement collection. "The way the modern food system is, we're always depleted of nutrients, so I take a good multivitamin, and a fish oil, and then I have other herbs for various things," she told Shape.

Get Outside

In addition to her indoor workouts, Gwyneth lives a healthy lifestyle outdoors. "Always trying to get as close to Mother Nature as possible," she captioned an Earth Day post, which included a photo of herself lounging on a paddleboard.

Try Intermittent Fasting

Paltrow is one of the many stars who have hopped on the intermittent fasting bandwagon.

"This year, I've been working with my dear friend and functional medicine practitioner @drwillcole and experimenting with the program from his new book, Intuitive Fasting. Will's clear, but flexible, four-week plan combines intuitive eating with intermittent fasting and Ketotarian foods. It's designed to optimize our well-being and set us up to feel our best for all the other weeks to come," she captioned a recent post. "This is not a book of dogma. It will not punish you or restrict you. If there's anything difficult in these pages, it is Will's request that we be willing to listen to ourselves, to our own bodies, to our intuition. @drwillcole, thank you for guiding me and for helping me feel my best in a long time. I can't wait for you all to read Intuitive Fasting and experience Will's magic, too."
