Gwyneth Paltrow, actress and founder of lifestyle brand GOOP, has been a beacon of health for decades. Celebwell has compiled a bunch of Gwyneth’s greatest health, fitness, and wellness tips that can work for you. Read these next 9 pieces of essential advice—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Dance Your Way Into Shape

Gwyneth has tried endless workout methods over the years, but danced into her best shape ever with the help of trainer Tracy Anderson, declaring herself “a total die-hard” fan of the celeb-loved method. “Her method works so well for me. I've seen all these fads come and go, and nothing works for me the way that Tracy's approach does, so I really stick with it,” she told Shape. “She's amazing.” On Goop, she wrote: “Many of you may already know of my passion for the Tracy Anderson Method and my investment in it. She has kicked my formerly sagging ass into shape and I will be forever grateful.”

2. Try Oil Pulling

Want to know how Gwyneth keeps her smile looking gorgeous? She attributes her pearly white to oil pulling, an ancient technique that involves swishing raw coconut oil in your mouth. "It's an Ayurvedic way to remove bacteria from the mouth," she told Harper’s Bazaar A 2015 study backs up her claims. “A statistically significant decrease in the plaque and gingival indices was noticed from day 7 and the scores continued to decrease during the period of study,” wrote the researchers.

3. Meditation Is Key to Mental Health

2019 amfAR Gala Los Angeles - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

During the pandemic Gwyneth “really recommitted” to her meditation practice, revealing to Vogue she went from doing it “sporadically” to every single morning. “I do Transcendental Meditation, so that’s something you learn with a teacher and they give you a mantra. There’s an app called Insight Timer that I use, and then sometimes when I need a little meditation in the afternoon [I use] The Breathing App. You follow a ball expanding and contracting and breathe along with it. Even five minutes is really helpful,” she revealed. “Paparazzi’d while meditating…” she captioned this Instagram photo.

4. Detoxify in an Infrared Sauna

Interior,Of,Finnish,Sauna,,Infrared,Panels,For,Medical,Procedures,,ClassicShutterstock

Paltrow revealed to Shape that she is a fan of a particular type of saunda. “I love to take an infrared sauna; it's really detoxifying. It's a real gift to myself,” she said. “I haven't tried cryotherapy yet because I'm kind of scared to, but they say it's great for pain. Our diets are so full of inflammatory foods that I think we need to do increasingly extreme things to combat it.”

5. Try a Cleanse

Gwyneth is always game for a good cleanse. “At Goop they call me ‘GP the guinea pig,’ because I'll try anything,” she told Shape. “I just tried a goat milk cleanse for eight days to rid my system of parasites. That was really interesting. It's only goat's milk and herbs. The theory is that we all have parasites, and they love the milk protein. So if you eat nothing else, they all come out of the intestinal wall and then you kill them with the herbs. I had to try it for Goop, but I felt so good after it.”

6. Eat Clean

Selection,Of,Healthy,FoodShutterstock

When it comes to diet, Gwyneth has a go-to rule: Eat as close to nature as possible. She told Shape that she tries to “eat pretty clean during the day” filling up on “good proteins and lots of vegetables and not too much grain or sugar, and nothing baked” during the day, “and then I tend to eat whatever I want for dinner,” she revealed. Chicken and fish seem to be her go-to animal proteins. “Lunch today,” she said in one post: “Slow-roasted salmon with spinach, garlic, lemon, shallots, and coriander. Healthy, under 20 minutes, super delish.”

7. Supplement Your Diet

Paltrow regularly promotes supplements, and even has her own GOOP supplement collection. “The way the modern food system is, we're always depleted of nutrients, so I take a good multivitamin, and a fish oil, and then I have other herbs for various things,” she told Shape.

8. Get Outside

In addition to her indoor workouts, Gwyneth lives a healthy lifestyle outdoors. “Always trying to get as close to Mother Nature as possible,” she captioned an Earth Day post, which included a photo of herself lounging on a paddleboard.

9. Try Intermittent Fasting

20:4,Fasting,Diet,Concept.,One,Third,Plate,With,Healthy,FoodShutterstock

Paltrow is one of the many stars who have hopped on the intermittent fasting bandwagon.

“This year, I’ve been working with my dear friend and functional medicine practitioner @drwillcole and experimenting with the program from his new book, Intuitive Fasting. Will's clear, but flexible, four-week plan combines intuitive eating with intermittent fasting and Ketotarian foods. It's designed to optimize our well-being and set us up to feel our best for all the other weeks to come,” she captioned a recent post. “This is not a book of dogma. It will not punish you or restrict you. If there’s anything difficult in these pages, it is Will’s request that we be willing to listen to ourselves, to our own bodies, to our intuition. @drwillcole, thank you for guiding me and for helping me feel my best in a long time. I can’t wait for you all to read Intuitive Fasting and experience Will’s magic, too.”

1. She Likes to Feel Her Best for Big Events

A Dreamy Evening With GoopglowBryan Bedder/Getty Images

“If I have a big event coming up, I like to make sure I'm doing lots of cardiovascular exercise, lots of sweat, lots of scrubbing. I'm a big believer in enjoying your life. But if you have a something specific that you're trying to get ready for, or just once a year, I really like to do a good detox for maintenance. So I've basically tried everything from a one day gallbladder flush fast to a seven week nightmare. It's great for eliminating bloat and firming your skin and just feeling your best,” she told Net-a-Porter.

2. This is How She Keeps Her Hair Healthy

Sex, Love & goop Special Screening Hosted By Gwyneth PaltrowStefanie Keenan/Getty Images

“Nutrition is a really important component of having healthy hair, fish oil. If you take fish oil, it's good for your hair. And also I'm a big believer in old-fashioned hair, brushing, stimulating the scalp and really getting the oils through to the ends of the hair. I think that's a good way to keep your hair healthy,” she told Net-a-Porter.

3. Life is Getting Sweeter as She Turns 50

Harper's Bazaar Exhibtion At Musee Des Arts Decoratifs In ParisPascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

“On September 27, I’ll turn 50. As I sit here contemplating this idea in the late summer morning, no moisture in the air, breeze moving only the tops of the trees, I strangely have no sense of time passed. I am as connected to this feeling of longing, of promise—promise of the fall, of something ebbing—as I was 30 years ago. I understand on some level that life is linear, that I have lived x number of days thus far and I have more in the basket under my arm than I do in the field before me. But there is something about the sweetness of life that exists deep within me that is unchanged, that will not change. It is the essence of the essence. It seems to be getting sweeter,” she wrote in this great Goop essay this week.

4. Here’s How She Wants to Live Going Forward

“I would like to slow down. I would like to retreat a little bit. I would like to make my circle smaller. I would like to cook dinner more. I would like to see misunderstandings become understandings. I would like to continue to open the deepest part of myself to my husband, even though it scares me. I would like to sing more, even if it’s just in the shower. I would like to tell anyone that had a negative experience with me that I am sorry. I would like to fully acknowledge myself. I am imperfect, I can shut down and turn to ice, I have no patience, I swear at other drivers, I don’t close my closet doors, I lie when I don’t want to hurt feelings. I am also generous and funny. I am smart and brave. I am a searcher, and I can bring you along on my quest for meaning. When I love you, you will feel it encompass you through time and space and till the end of the earth. I am all of it,” she wrote.

5. She Started Goop to Connect With People

“It's scary to leave infrastructure or like a whole system, where there's so much scaffolding, where you're like, okay, I know my place here. I felt like when I was acting a lot, it was an amazing career and I got to travel to all these amazing places and make out with Jude Law and and Ethan Hawke…and Robert Downey as well,” she said ot laughs. “But I did feel sort of like I had this other calling like this other passion and I really wanted to give myself the agency to pursue it. And though it was scary, I kind of felt like I had my, I had my kid, my first child and… in the acting world, you kind of go for three months and you're traveling and you're on set all day. And I didn't think it was really conducive to being a new mom and I kind of stepped away and then started kind of like contemplating what I could do in the lifestyle space or how I could connect people to things that might be valuable to them. And how could I impact lives in a way that felt more immediate to me and more meaningful to me. And so I kind of like went from there,” she said at Side X Side.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a successful actress. She won an Academy Award for her role in Shakespeare In Love. She also won an Emmy for her guest role on Glee. Paltrow is a wellness maven, and has her own brand, Goop. Paltrow did an AMA on her Instagram stories, where she revealed her favorite piece of clothing. She wore a red spanx set in one photo, captioning it, “Weirdly, I am very into spanx.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Gwyneth Paltrow stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats A Balanced Diet

Paltrow makes sure to eat healthy, but she also believes in balance. She talked about her diet to Women’s Health. “I have a pretty healthy diet, so when I’m eating processed foods and not watching my alcohol intake, I feel it,” she explained. “But at the same time, you want deliciousness, you want a fun life—pleasure! You’re going to have a baguette-and-cheese-and-red-wine frenzy sometimes—but you want it to be a choice you’re awake to: ‘I know this might not make me feel great, but today I’m choosing it anyway.’”

2. She Walks

Paltrow shared some of her favorite ways to stay fit to Vogue. “I also love to walk—I walk and walk and walk! Someone once said to me ‘walking brings the soul and the body together,’ and I really believe that.” Harvard Health states that walking can help you eat a better diet. “Harvard researchers looked at 32 obesity-promoting genes in over 12,000 people to determine how much these genes actually contribute to body weight. Among the study participants who walked briskly for about an hour a day, the effects of those genes were cut in half.”

3. She Has Wellness Treatments Done

Paltrow shared some of her favorite wellness treatments to Vogue. “For so much of my life, I pushed the boundaries – people thought acupuncture and using a sauna was crazy, and now everything I use, everyone’s doing it. I don’t think there’s anything too ‘out there’ [for me]. I’m very into my sauna and cold plunge pool, exercise, hydration… but nothing that’s considered cutting-edge at this point. Now, everybody talks about all of this stuff!”

4. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Paltrow has amazing skin and she makes sure to take care of it. She even uses her own line of skincare products. Paltrow shared her routine to Harper’s Bazaar. “In the morning, I've been putting it on after [my] workout and shower. If you really want the whole kit and caboodle, when I'm in the shower, I use the Goopglow Cloudberry Exfoliating Cleanser, which is a foamy delicious cleanser that also has some exfoliating beads in it. And then, when I get out, my skin's dry, I use the Sleep Milk, and then our face oil. At night, I use Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator when I'm in the bath, and I use Sleep Milk on the skin first. And then, the Goop Genes Moisturizer, and then I put on lip balm. I've got a very good little routine going, and I feel very happy with how it's working.”

5. She Eats Early

Paltrow revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that she likes to eat early. “I feel like eating early is a really important part of my sleep routine. There's a lot of evidence that suggests that if you go to bed on a full stomach, you don't sleep as well. So that's why I eat dinner at six o'clock—all my friends kind of make fun of me. And then, I always have tea at night, like a sleepy-time tea. I love drinking herbs that get your head relaxed and your body feeling settled.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
