Influencer Charli D'Amelio Shares Swimsuit Photo of "Family Forever"

TikTok star Charli D'Amelio is giving a very sweet shout out to pal Markell Washington via her Instagram account. D'Amelio shared a picture of herself and Washington over the years, including one of her posing in the water in a pink bikini, laughing with the YouTube star. "No one does it like you @markellwashington. Happy belated birthday. I love you more than life. Thank you for being you. Family forever 🤍." Markell responded in the comments, saying "Thank you so much char char 🥹😭❤️❤️ I love you so much lil sis, we are riding together forever until the wheels fall off PUURRR you mean so much to me 💙💙." D'Amelio has made it clear family always comes first—here's how she balances work and play.

D'Amelio says doing a reality show with her family taught her a lot. "I think I obviously learned a lot, just because you're watching yourself go through situations," she says. "And I think a lot of it is just maturity and growing up, learning new things, and being able to see what you look like from an outside perspective. I think is really interesting. I feel like I'm probably very similar in a lot of ways, and in the ways that I'm different I don't even realize until other people watch it and they're like, 'Whoa, okay. That's cool.'"

D'Amelio loves that social media gives young people a way to express their creativity. "I think for a long time you were supposed to fit into this little box of how you're supposed to be, and I feel like with this whole generation that grew up on social media, we've seen how fast trends change and how people can express themselves in different ways," she says. "That's something that's so amazing and I feel like individuality is super important because it's so easy to fall in line and be just like everyone else. Even before TikTok, I went to a school where we wear uniforms, and still, every single person would wear their uniforms in their own way."

Anyone who has watched D'Amelio's TikTok videos knows she is an gifted dancer. "I've been a competition dancer my entire life," she says. "I know a lot of people don't know that I study dance outside of TikTok, but it is something that I definitely want to do more of."

D'Amelio is thrilled to create her own perfume. "If I looked at myself kind of five years ago, I would've never thought that I would be coming out with my own fragrance," she says. "When the idea was [presented] to me, it really ticked a box that I didn't have. It was something that I didn't see a lot of other people my age pursuing, and I really didn't have a signature fragrance that I felt like made me, me. [I was] missing that one thing I have to do before I leave to make myself feel ready. And Born Dreamer really filled that for me. It's the perfect blend of fruity, floral, feminine, strong, and confident. It plays well off of everyone's natural skin smell."

D'Amelio likes to relax with spa treatments. "My life has been super busy lately, with Dancing with the Stars and upcoming projects," she said in 2022. "When I get stressed, I like to take time for myself—alone time allows me to recenter myself and relax. With such a busy schedule, doing at-home spa treatments provides some calmness back into my life, too. I also like to stay organized with little reminders so I can check off things as they happen."
