Jessica Gresty is sharing her ab workout in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the influencer and fitness expert flaunts her flat abs while “training her abs in reverse,” she explains. “Train core in reverse. 10-15 reps. Utilise your core strength to push your torso out of the hanging back bend. This works your core, lower back and helps relieve shoulder tightness,” she writes in the caption of the Instagram video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Healthy Diet

Jessica maintains a healthy diet. “Some things I do to stay lean all year,” she writes in a post. A few of her roles are eating “unlimited fruits & veggies daily,” she says. “I don’t fry food. Eat raw, bake, boil, steam or grill food,” she adds. “I practice intuitive eating. I don’t track macros, count calories or time my meals. When I’m full I stop eating. When I’m hungry I eat. Simple,” she continues. “I eat predominantly whole foods. 100% plants.”

2. Daily Movement

She is also “active every day,” she adds. “I walk a lot, even on rest days I make an effort to get moving!” Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

3. Cold Plunging

Jessica is also a fan of ice baths. “Earthing + Wild cold plunging,” she captioned a post. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

4. Dry Sauna

When it comes to heat, Jessica opts for dry saunas. Should you take a dry sauna? While some claim the health benefits of saunas are plentiful, including detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress management, and relaxation, there isn’t a lot of research backing up the claims.

5. Here Is Her Plant-Based Menu to Drop Body Fat

Jessica recently revealed a “full day of eating” on her plant based diet, perfect for “dropping body fat,” she says.

  • Papaya + strawberries
  • Soy yoghurt with seeds + oranges
  • Avocado bagel
  • Homemade fruit cake (high protein flour, no added sugar)
  • Sweet potato + veg curry with rice
  • Healthy fats brownie
