Jennifer Lopez is showing off her washboard abs – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the forever young pop star flaunts her insanely toned midsection in a crop top and sweats during rehearsals for her upcoming tour. “We back ✨#JLOLIVE Rehearsals Day 1️⃣,” she captioned the Instagram photos. How does the star, 54, approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Strength Training
Jennifer strength trains with Dodd Romero and David Kirsch. "She trains for roughly an hour, four to five times a week, focusing on different body parts each time," Romero told Oprah Daily. "We’ll go until everything’s sore and we’ve hit every body part," he added to US Weekly about their intense sweat sessions.
2. Strong Workout Ethic
Jennifer has a strong workout ethic. "Very rarely will I skip my workout," she told US Weekly. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I’m like, 'Ugh, I can’t do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It’s only an hour.' It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum,” she added.“I don’t like doing it later; it’s harder to get there when I have my day going already.”
3. 10 Hours of Sleep
Jennifer sleeps a lot. "The number one tip is to always get enough sleep," she told InStyle. "I can’t stress this enough. Ideally I would love to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but either way, I always make sure I get at least eight."
4. Whole Foods

Jennifer fuels her body with whole foods "She stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources," Romero told Oprah Daily. "Everything is fresh," Tracy Anderson, who used to train the star, told People. "There’s nothing processed," she points out, especially when it comes to carbs. On her website, the trainer added: "I have her eating very clean because she needs really good fuel for all the things that she’s doing. It’s all organic and it’s all very well thought out, with the balance of very high quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food."
5. Indulging on Occasion
"Throughout the years I’ve learned the importance of maintaining a healthier diet," she told People, "I still eat some of the foods I love, but in moderation. I don’t deprive myself." Yes, even J.Lo cheats. "We’re all human. I don’t think you should beat yourself up if you make a mistake or if you have a potato chip. Everyone wants a cookie or a piece of cake or fried chicken every once in a while."
6. Dance
Jennifer also blasts calories via dancing. "Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness," Jennifer told HELLO!. "When my confidence is lagging, I dance. There's something about seeing what my body is capable of and feeling the endorphin rush that comes with a good dance session that really helps boost my confidence and my mood. I still consider myself a dancer at heart and I love it,” she said.
