Jeon Somi is a very successful singer. She was a part of the group, I.O.I, before going solo. In November, she shared a look at her rehearsals with her fans on Instagram. In it, she ran and hung out with her crew. Somi wore a black tank top and pants in one post, and a black jacket and white top in the others. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jeon Somi stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Dances

Being a performer means that Somi has to learn choreography. Better Health states that dance has a lot of benefits. “Dancing can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including: improved condition of your heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness, increased aerobic fitness, improved muscle tone and strength, weight management, stronger bones and reduced risk of osteoporosis.”

2. She Runs

As you can see in the Instagram post, Somi likes to run. McKenzie Health states that running has a lot of benefits. “Since running is a weight-bearing exercise, it helps keep your bones stronger as you age. What you may be surprised to hear, however, is that running is also good for your joints. Many people think running wreaks havoc on joints, but it may actually strengthen joints and the muscles around them, making it less likely you'll have arthritis.”

3. She Bikes

According to this Instagram post, Somi likes to go biking. Harvard Health states that biking has a lot of health benefits. “Health benefits include improved cardiovascular fitness, stronger muscles, greater coordination and general mobility, and reduced body fat. As with other types of exercise, it can also help improve mental health by lowering stress levels and stimulating feel-good endorphins.”

4. She Does Taekwondo

In this CNN interview, Somi revealed that she practices taekwondo. According to MSMAP, taekwondo has a lot of benefits. “Obvious benefits are seen almost immediately with improved balance/posture, flexibility, strength, coordination, and aerobic fitness. These characteristics are essential for taekwondo success. Longer term benefits include the ability to apply these characteristics to other activities. For example, using a baseball bat for power or percentage; swinging a golf club or tennis racket well; or, handling a soccer ball through several defenders.”

5. She Does Pilates

1. She Loves Oil Skincare Products

Chung shared some of her skincare secrets in an interview with Allure. She says that she likes to use products with oil in them. "Oil cleansers and oil moisturizers. They help keep the skin looking young. I like using Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil as a moisturizer. [Asian women] also love to exfoliate. It helps brighten up your complexion, leaving your skin looking fresh."

2. She Cooks

Chung loves to cook, and shared some of her recipes with Glamour. “My favorite summer dish is a watermelon feta salad,” she said. “It’s really easy to make, refreshing, and pretty much exactly how it sounds—throw some cut watermelon, feta, balsamic vinaigrette, red onion, and mint into a large serving bowl, then top with a dash of salt and cracked pepper, and toss. The secret is to cut the watermelon into bite-size chunks so it’s easily eatable. Round it off with chicken kebabs, an orzo pasta salad, and you’ve got a tasty meal that’s easy to prep and cook while mingling with guests. It’s always a hit with guests and pairs well with a crisp rosé or chardonnay.”

3. She Meditates

Chung shared some of her wellness secrets with Us Weekly. She says that she likes to practice meditation. “The best thing to do is start with a five-minute meditation when you first wake up. 4. She Does Workouts That Are Dependent On Her Mood

Chung shared some of her favorite workouts with Us Weekly. She says that what she does is entirely dependent on how she feels. “I’m obsessed with classes,” she says. “So either I’ll commit to a class or take my dog on a long walk or run. I follow Alo Yoga on YouTube and do their power vinyasa videos. If I’m super lazy I’ll say ‘Ok, let’s just start with 50 sit-ups, then 50 more then 15 push-ups and go from there.’ Then I’ll do some squats. It’s about being superconscious of what you do to your body and what you put in your body.”

5. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Chung tells Us Weekly that she likes to do a variety of workouts. ”If I’m in the gym, I like a 15-minute warm-up on the treadmill, then I go to the [crossover] cable trainer and I do a jump pull-up and then static holds and then I’ll slowly come down — it really works your whole body,” she reveals to Us. “I also do triceps and compound movement, like push presses and then squats with kettlebells. I’m all about time.”

Sommer Ray in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Morning Stretch"

Sommer Ray is stretching in her workout gear. In a new social media post the gorgeous influencer shows off her incredibly fit figure in a sports bra and leggings, getting ready for a sweat session in a studio. “Morning stretch,” she wrote about the Instagram Stories images. How does the fitness influencer maintain her impressive physique? Here is everything you need to know about her diet and exercise routine.

1. She Lifts Weights

Sommer started her weight lifting journey at the age of 14 and started competing at 16. She explained, "it’s a whole different world where many girls are on steroids, and I didn’t want to do that to my body," to Cosmopolitan about her decision to quit competing.

2. She Stretches

Sports.,Woman,At,The,Gym,Doing,Stretching,Exercises,And,SmilingShutterstock

Sommer understands the importance of stretching, as can be evidenced in her recent post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

3. She Exercises 5 Days a Week

Sommer exercises like it's her job – because it is. You can find her in sweat sessions five times a week for up to 90 minutes, spending an entire two days on her lower body. "If my glutes are sore, I tell myself, 'I probably shouldn't work them today,' " she explained. "I just listen to my body." She also mixes things up. "There’s not a certain exercise or specific workout that’s beneficial," she says. "I switch it up every day and try to make it fun, because as soon as it feels like a job, you don’t want to do it."

4. She Consumes Lots of Protein

Sommer.Ray.2Sommer Ray/Instagram

Ray consumes at least 70 grams of protein per day to keep her glutes built and maintain muscle mass. She starts the day with a protein shake, and then eats five more small but protein-packed meals throughout the day, she told Cosmo. Grilled chicken, veggies and steamed white rice is one of her go-to meals. Starchy veggies and whole grains fulfill her carb requirements. "If I want a slice of pizza, I have a slice of pizza. I want to look good, but I also want to enjoy life," she explained. She added to Luxury Lifestyle Magazine that she can’t say no to a weekly burger. “Ooh, easy. In-n-out. I probably go once a week,” she said when asked what her favorite restaurant was.

5. She Takes Baths

Sommer.Ray.1Sommer Ray/Instagram

What is Sommer’s self-care ritual? “Baths lol, I love baths with Epsom salts and lavender essential oil. It's really the most relaxing thing for me. It's my therapy, I can sit in there for hours,” she told Paper. Baths have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Rita Ora working her triceps

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”
