Brewster revealed her secrets for staying motivated to New Beauty. She says that gear helps her want to work out. "If you like the outdoors, don't force yourself to go to the gym. Instead, buy a pedometer and go on a hike. Buy cute gym outfits every once in a while to stay motivated. I love to go to Nike and treat myself to the latest running gear.

When most people think of interval training, most people think of doing different exercises without equipment. However, Brewster tells New Beauty that she does intervals on a treadmill. Brewster also loves to do strength training exercises. She tells New Beauty that she likes to do them with her personal trainer. "I also do strength training three times a week with my trainer Harley Pasternak." "Two or three 20- or 30-minute strength training sessions every week can result in significant health benefits:

  1. Increased muscle mass: Muscle mass naturally decreases with age, but strength training can help reverse the trend.
  2. Stronger bones: Strength training increases bone density and reduces the risk of fractures.
  3. Joint flexibility: Strength training helps joints stay flexible and can reduce the symptoms of arthritis.
  4. Weight control: As you gain muscle, your body begins to burn calories more easily, making it easier to control your weight.
  5. Balance: Strengthening exercises can increase flexibility and balance as people age, reducing falls and injuries," says the American Cancer Society.
