Beckinsale recently did some yoga, and posted a video of herself doing poses on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing different leg extensions and stretches. She is seen wearing a black workout outfit. 1. She Does Yoga
Harvard Health states that yoga has a lot of benefits. One thing that Beckinsale might be experiencing is being more in tune with her body. “People who practice yoga and are mindful eaters are more in tune with their bodies. They may be more sensitive to hunger cues and feelings of fullness. Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years gained less weight during middle adulthood. People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
2. She Circuit Trains
Beckinsale shared her diet and exercise secrets with Shape Magazine. She says that she likes to circuit train. “I do circuit training interspersed with brutal cardio, such as crazy things on a non-motorized treadmill. That part is torture. But the thing I like about circuit training is that you're never doing one thing for very long. You get to the point where you almost can't bear it, and it changes to something else."
3. She Works Out In The Morning
Beckinsale has a busy schedule. So how does she fit working out into her schedule regularly? She works out in the mornings. "I basically wake up, eat breakfast, and then work out,” she told Shape. “I prefer to get it done in the morning. That said, I don't naturally get up early. It would be much better for me if the entire world went to bed at 4 a.m. and woke up at noon. But it doesn't, so I'm usually staggering around first thing."
4. She Eats Healthy
Beckinsale makes sure to eat healthy. She talked about her diet in an interview with Shape. "I was a vegetarian for a really long time because I am incredibly squeamish about meat. But when I was filming Pearl Harbor, I didn't have enough energy, and the trainer I was working with at the time said 'You've got to start eating chicken and fish.' So I did, and that helped me. Lily and I eat clean-we have a lot of sautéed vegetables like brussels sprouts and broccoli and chicken and fish. Also, I don't drink alcohol. I feel [its effects] very quickly, so I've never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic."
5. She Protects Her Skin From The Sun

Beckinsale has amazing skin. One of her secrets is protecting her skin from the sun. “I didn't see sun for the first several decades of my life and that's probably been a big help,” she told People. “A great deal of it was geography [growing up in England], but the other thing was on the very rare occasions when we would go on a family vacation somewhere hot, I was paranoid that I would get freckles in a mustache formation on my face. So I was wearing Factor 70 [SPF]. I just didn't want a mustache, that's really why I used sunscreen."
