How does she stay so fit?

Kayla Richart is best known for being a cast member on Too Hot To Handle. Since then, she's grown a large social media following. Richart recently enjoyed a beach vacation. She shared some stunning photos on Instagram. In them, she wore a silver swimsuit and skirt. Richart captioned the post, "A bit of warm weather before heading back to the cold in the UK." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kayla Richart stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

She Eats Plant Based Food

Richart shares a lot of her favorite foods on Instagram. She incorporates a lot of plant-based food into her diet. She even has an Instagram story highlight on her page dedicated to her favorite plant-based meals. The National Library of Medicine states, "Research shows that plant-based diets are cost-effective, low-risk interventions that may lower body mass index, blood pressure, HbA1C, and cholesterol levels. They may also reduce the number of medications needed to treat chronic diseases and lower ischemic heart disease mortality rates."

She Cooks

Richart likes to cook. She has another Instagram story highlight dedicated to the recipes she makes. According to Harvard Health, "We already know that the more people cook at home, the healthier their diet, the fewer calories they consume, and the less likely they are to be obese or develop type 2 diabetes. A growing body of scientific evidence supports teaching patients how to cook meals at home as an effective medical intervention for improving diet quality, weight loss, and diabetes prevention. In fact, research is turning to studying the value of nutrition programs that include cooking instruction. These programs have been shown to help people adhere to a healthier diet, eat smaller portions, and lose weight — improvements that lasted as long as a year after the study ended. These programs can even help patients with type 2 diabetes to eat healthier, lower blood pressures and blood sugars, and lose weight. Hard to believe it, but time in the kitchen can be as valuable as medication for some people with diabetes."

Richart spends a lot of time outside. One thing she likes to do is ride ATVs. While on a trip to Abu Dhabi, she went riding in the desert. Richart shared these photos and this video on Instagram from the excursion. She captioned the photos, "I grew up riding quads in the sand dunes with my dad in Oregon. Riding in Abu Dhabi was a whole new level of beautiful and fun in the sand." She captioned the video, "More sunsets like this."

She Swims

Richart likes to swim to stay in shape. She shared these photos of herself in the ocean in Spain. Richart captioned them, "More days like this pls." Swimming has a lot of benefits. The British Heart Foundation states, "Swimming is one of the few activities that work your whole body. Breaststroke, backstroke, front crawl, butterfly and even doggy paddle get your legs and arms moving. This in turn works your back and core muscles."

5

She Gets Sunshine

Sun exposure offers numerous health benefits. It stimulates the production of Vitamin D in the skin, crucial for strong bones, immune system support, and emotional well-being. Exposure to natural sunlight helps maintain our body's internal clock, leading to better sleep patterns and mood enhancement. Sunlight can also aid in the treatment of certain skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis. Additionally, sunlight exposure has been linked with a lower risk of some mood disorders. However, it's important to enjoy the sun responsibly. Using sunscreen and avoiding prolonged exposure during peak hours helps reduce the risk of skin cancer and premature aging of the skin.
