This Shania Twain Song Tops Billboard’s 100 Greatest Karaoke Songs

Her girl-empowerment anthem may even be better sung by guys.

Shania Twain can add another accolade to her storied career: Her 1998 hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” tops a list of the 100 greatest karaoke songs, according to Billboard.

Shania’s girl-empowerment anthem “isn’t just reserved for the ladies either,” the magazine said, pointing to pop star Harry Styles’ version of the song, which he performed at Coachella with her. This Labor Day Weekend, if you go karaoke singing, you might want to break this hit out. It’s easy to sing, everyone knows it, and it’s a fun song.

She Treated Her Lyme Disease

Shania contracted Lyme disease in 2003 and got surgery in 2017 to treat its effects on her voice. “I’m never gonna have my own voice again — I’m OK with that,” she said. ” I’ve found a new voice, and I like it.”

She Drinks Smoothies

 “If I can get raw coconut water, my morning drink is coconut water, avocado and apple in a blender,” Shania told The Cut. “It’s a smoothie. If I don’t have access to coconut water, it’s blueberries and almonds — that’s one of my favorite things to eat.”

She Plays Tennis

“I always say the tennis court is my gym — I love tennis,” Shania told The Cut. “I started playing it with my son when he was about 7 (he’s 15 now).” She added: “With tennis, I forget that I’m working out because it’s a game. … When I’m able to play tennis regularly — which is, again, depending on where I am — it’s nothing for me to play three to five times a week.”

She Goes for Walks

“If I’m going to do shortcuts because I’m traveling, and I can’t manage the environment around me or my schedule is too much, walking is my key thing,” Shania said. “I’ll wear my running shoes for the walk and pack my dress shoes in my backpack.”

She Cares for Her Skin

“I exfoliate every day,” Shania said. “I wear sunscreen every day, and I use a C complex as well. That’s made a huge difference with my skin.”
