In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna opened up about why she decided to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show after having her first child. She says that she doesn’t want to limit herself and believes in herself. “It’s this knowing that you can do anything even things that seem the craziest, like, ‘I’m going to say yes to the Super Bowl in the middle of postpartum?’ What the heck am I thinking? But you’re geeked on a challenge like that because you know what your body just did. You feel this sense of ‘Nothing is impossible.'”

Rihanna opened up about her diet and workout in an interview with Vanity Fair. She says that she isn’t big on dieting or restricting herself. In fact, food is what motivates her to workout. “Legit, I have been in the gym every day this week because I am not willing to give up my food. But I will sacrifice an hour for the gym.”

In an interview with Bustle, Rihanna talked about her skincare routine during pregnancy. She says that she needs to keep her skin moisturized. “I definitely have been paying more attention to the amount of moisture that I have on my skin. Your skin goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy, and I’ve been having dry spells where my skin just starts to shed, and I have to over-moisturize. So, protecting my skin from the sun and the environment is huge.”

She Eats A Healthy Breakfast

In an interview with Fabulous Magazine, Rihanna broke down her typical meals. She says that she makes sure to eat healthy each day, and she starts with breakfast. “I have egg whites and pineapple for breakfast with hot water and lemon,” Rihanna said. Rihanna’s breakfast is pretty healthy. A study reports that eggs and egg white have a lot of benefits. “Two major functions have been clearly identified: (1) they improve muscle mass and have muscle-strengthening and antifatigue effects when consumed during exercise; (2) they can improve lipid metabolism by reducing visceral fat and lowering serum cholesterol levels. The intake of egg protein may, thus, contribute to the prevention of physical frailty and metabolic syndrome.”

She Eats Fish

Rihanna is a big fan of fish. She tells Fabulous Magazine that she likes to have it once or twice a day. “For lunch I have fish and potatoes. I hate vegetables but I make myself eat them. For dinner I have fish again.” The Washington State Department of Health states, “Fish is a low-fat high quality protein. Fish is filled with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins such as D and B2 (riboflavin). Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium.”

Rihanna makes sure to stay hydrated. She tells Bustle that she loves coconut water in particular. “I hydrate with coconut water and everything just has to be super high in moisture to keep my body hydrated. That’s been a big thing for me.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, coconut water has a lot of benefits. “Coconut water has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor, and is low in sugar and calories. However, it also boasts electrolytes such as potassium, sodium and magnesium, all of which help to replenish lost nutrients.”

She Wants To Represent Others

Rihanna had previously turned down an opportunity to perform with the NFL in 2018, to be in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. She revealed to Vogue that she changed her mind to provide more representation. “There’s still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes, but it’s powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high level and a consistent level.” Rihanna also cited the 2022 Halftime Show, which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem as another factor. Two Super Bowls back-to-back…You know, representing the urban community, globally. It is powerful. It sends a really strong message.”
