2. Pump Iron

3. Find Out What Works, and What Doesn’t

When Julia first moved to the United States she struggled with her weight. “In the season happily ever after, I had hormonal imbalance, food, flights, stress and I gained weight. I trained, spent most of the day on the street running with the dogs, helping on the farm, but the weight did not go away,” she shared in another post.

4. Strike a (Yoga) Pose

Julia has turned into a yogi since she moved to the United States. “I didn't really like and perceived yoga as a sport, but I began to do yoga once a week and the weight began to return to normal, naturally I continued to do loads,” she wrote in the same post. “conclusion : a lot of problems depends on problems in the head, even weight problems.”

Next, she tried snowboarding, which was more her thing. “It seems to me that this will be our favorite pastime in cold weather. I choose snowboarding, perhaps because it is better to handle than skis.”

90 Day Fiancé star Kirlyam Cox is taking time off from her busy day-to-day schedule to enjoy some rest and relaxation at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Cox shared a sweet picture of herself posing on a sun lounger in a polka dot bikini and brightly patterned sarong, holding a book on her lap. “My favorite person,” a fan commented. Cox has been in the public eye for a decade—here’s how she stays healthy and happy.

1. One Day At a Time

Cox shared updates on her health and wellness journey on social media. “Is the photo nice?” she captioned a post. “It's ok my people, I know lol. But I just wanted to celebrate with you a goal that I have been accomplishing and that has made me very happy. I started working out a few days ago and not just to lose the weight I need (I'm above my ideal weight) but also to improve my physical and mental fitness. One day at a time 🙌🏻 Little by little I will share with you how things are going. Hope you're as excited as me!”

2. Strong Relationship

Cox and husband Adam are still going strong. “The first thing we usually say to each other when Alan comes home from work is ‘Eu estava com saudades!’ ‘Saudades’ has no direct translation in English. It describes a deep emotional state of longing for someone you love. Basically, it means, ‘I really, really missed you!'” she says.

3. Winter Weather

Cox loves the cold weather after growing up in a hot climate. “Winter is my absolute favorite season of the year!” she says. “You can get comfortable outfits and look cute at the same time. I think I like winter that much because where I used to live in Brazil it’s always so hot. You never have a break. It's always summer. What is your favorite season?

4. Love For Frida Kahlo

Cox is deeply passionate about art. “I still can't believe I had the immense privilege of observing a piece of art by my dear Frida Kahlo ♥️,” she captioned a post. “I was so moved and touched that I was able to have this moment in my life, that to be honest, I can't put into words what it meant to me. I love you, Frida. Thank you for all the lessons and struggles. To be honest, it's hard to find words to explain what it meant to me to be there. I love you Frida! Thank you for all the lessons and fight!”

5. She Loves Dresses

Cox loves wearing dresses every day. “Do you guys have a to go outfit?” she captioned an Instagram post. “For me, I'll always choose a dress to be mine. In my opinion, they'll always make me feel good about myself, make me feel pretty and feminine. For example, when I tried this one, I was so happy, I took like a million selfs and was dancing around the house.”

90 Day Fiancé star Elizabeth Marie is showing the world she and Ed Brown are still very much together, based on a recent social media post. Marie posted a video of herself wearing a pink bathing suit and she and Brown jumped into a pool together. “Hey babe, can we get a cute video and some photos of us together? love that we can be silly together 😭,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Marie stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s a Runner

Marie is in the best shape of her life after losing 20 lbs in three months, and loves to run marathons. “The benefits of training for a long distance running event such as a half marathon or marathon are many,” says Timothy Miller, MD. “By far the most notable benefits are improvements in cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance. Other less commonly publicized positive effects are weight loss and mental health changes such as improvement in mood, self-esteem, reductions of anxiety and relationship bonding with training partners. Additionally, an active lifestyle that includes marathon training often stimulates healthier eating habits and quitting smoking.”

2. She Loves Cauliflower

Marie enjoys adding cauliflower to dishes such as vegan cauliflower burritos. “Like broccoli and cabbage, cauliflower’s sulforaphane content has a number of health benefits including reducing the risk of cancer,” says registered nutritionist Kerry Torrens. “Sulforaphane fights cancer in a number of ways including protecting cells from DNA damage as well as inactivating carcinogens. Being rich in sulfur, cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower may support gut health and as a result improve your defense against infection. This is because sulfur supports the production of glutathione which is important for maintaining the integrity of the gut lining as well as supporting its regeneration. As a potent antioxidant, glutathione works throughout the body protecting cells from inflammatory damage.”

3. She Paddle Boards

San Diego-based Marie is a huge fan of ocean sports, especially paddle boarding. “Exercising in natural environments has been shown to have greater benefits for mental health than exercising elsewhere,” says Sergio Diez Alvarez, Director Of Medicine, The Maitland and Kurri Kurri Hospital, University of Newcastle. “This is because it combines the benefits of exercise with the restorative effects of being in nature. Swimming in the ocean is no less the case. It can be relaxing, meditative and reduce stress. In his 2014 book Blue Mind, marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols brought together evidence for why people find themselves in a meditative and relaxed state when they are in, on or under water.”

4. She’s a Dancer

Marie loves taking sexy dance classes as usually she is quite introverted. “What I love about this dance class I take!!! 1 😃 it’s a small business that has truly blossomed,” she captioned a video. “I absolutely love and support small businesses. 2 It’s truly a space where women encourage one another. It’s low lights, and self confidence. I let loose with myself. I’ve never felt uplifted with myself the way I do here. I’m one of the biggest introverts you could ever meet. I’m no professional by any means, but by the end of my class I feel so confident about myself even if it doesn’t meet anyone else’s standards. It’s the funnest cardio I have ever done and boy do my abs and knees hurt the next day.”

5. She Loves To Paint

Marie enjoys dabbling in art, even taking a “date night” painting class with Brown. Experts say creating art offers incredible health benefits. "Creativity in and of itself is important for remaining healthy, remaining connected to yourself and connected to the world," says Christianne Strang, a professor of neuroscience at the University of Alabama Birmingham and the former president of the American Art Therapy Association.

Wieniawa wore a white bathing suit and matching cover-up, both showing off her figure, and providing contrast to the night sky. She captioned the post with a fitting fire emoji. 1. She Cheats Once A Week

In an interview with Viva, Wieniwa opened up about her diet, exercise, and wellness secrets. She revealed that she tries to eat a healthy diet, most of the time. However, she does say that she makes time to indulge, albeit once in a while. “I make a cheat day for restaurants and sweets once a week and that's enough for me.”

2. She’s Consistent

For Wieniawa, the most important part of wellness is consistency. She says to Viva that she makes sure to stick to her routines every day, no matter how difficult it may get. “I exercise almost every day, don't eat the gluten that stuffs, and try to stick to my diets. Lots of sacrifices, but I can see the results.”

3. She Loves Warm Lemon Water In The Morning

Fresh,Homemade,Lemonade,Or,Lemon,WaterShutterstock

Wieniawa’s wellness routine starts first thing in the morning. She revealed to Viva that she is a fan of the popular morning habit of drinking warm lemon water, to flush out her system. “Warm lemon water in the morning on an empty stomach is also good.”

4. She Stays Active On Vacation

For most people, their vacations are time to indulge, relax, and not think about wellness. For Wieniawa, that doesn't apply. She says to Viva that she likes to exercise and stay active while she’s on vacation. Even if it’s just walking and hiking everywhere. “As soon as I was on vacation in Masuria, I was driving and swimming. I try to be on the move all the time.”

5. She Loves To Dance

Wieniawa is a singer, which means that she has to learn dance routines and moves for her music videos and performances. She also doesn’t need to be in rehearsals or on stage to be dancing, as she has posted several dance videos on Instagram and TikTok. Dancing has a lot of benefits, according to Open Access. “Dancing exercises the heart, lungs, muscles, joints, and ligaments, and in doing so it tests your balance, muscle strength, and coordination. But more than that – dancing also requires cognitive memory.”

Irina Shayk is enjoying the sun, sea, sand (and pigs!) on vacation in a tropical location—and even onetime beau Bradley Cooper makes an appearance. The model posted a series of photos of herself wearing a gorgeous bathing suit on Instagram, with one fan commenting "BAHAMA MAMA 🔥." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 6 ways Shayk stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Keeps a Healthy Balance

“I’ve got great genes to thank for my fast metabolism, but I still have to find a balance between food and working out because when I eat, I really eat!” Shayk tells Women’s Health. “Give me a burger and I’ll follow it up with a piece of cake. In fact, two days ago I had a huge burger with cheese, French fries, lots of ketchup and mayo and a large Sprite. But in the name of balance, I got up the next morning, did 30 minutes of barre in my room and ate steamed fish and grilled vegetables for dinner. I'm from Russia, so I've been brought up on hearty food like meat and dumplings and potato stews in big warming portions, but if I’m preparing for a shoot or show, I’ll eat particularly clean – salads and soups – to ensure a flat stomach. Then jump on a burger straight after!”

2. She Doesn’t Wear Makeup

irina-cooperIrina Shayk / Instagram

“I wash my face twice a day, religiously,” Shayk says. “I like my skin to feel as clean as possible all the time – I don’t even use foundation because it actually makes my face feel dirty. To get away with wearing hardly any make-up, I make sure I always moisturize. Some people find a favorite product and stick with it for years but I swap between moisturizers every week so my skin doesn’t get too used to one formula and becomes immune to its benefits. But I always go back to Cetaphil, it’s like $6 from any pharmacy and makes my skin smooth and clear. I grew up poor, so spending lots of money on beauty products you can make at home doesn’t make sense to me.I mix honey, salt and sugar as a body scrub – it’s as good as anything you get in posh shops.”

3. She Loves Russian Food

Crepes,(thin,Pancakes,,Traditional,Russian,Dessert,Blini),Pile,With,GoldenShutterstock

“I’m a model, but I love to eat,” Shayk tells PEOPLE. “Sometimes when I’m on set I keep eating and people are like, ‘You really eat that?’ I’m like, ‘Yes, I do.’ When I was growing up in Russia my grandmothers would cook the best pancakes in the world: the best meatballs, the best dumplings. So I really, really love food. And I don’t understand how people don’t eat. I do eat everything.”

4. She Practices Jiu Jitsu

“Well, I have good genes [so] I thank my family,” Shayk says. “But I work out a lot. I do boxing, I do a little jiu jitsu which I am obsessed with. It is so much fun [and] I have the best trainer. You have to find the best workout for your body. You have to balance between eating and working out.”

5. She Loves To Dive

"Thierry Mugler : Couturissime" Photocall - Paris Fashion Week - Womenswear Spring Summer 2022Richard Bord/WireImage

“I love the open water,” Shayk says. “I may not be able to drive a car, but I’m a trained Open Water Diver and it’s an unforgettable experience every single time. Every time I travel, I try to get to the sea and explore that part of the world underwater. They say divers have more life experience than those who don’t because it teaches you to appreciate the world we live in from a completely different perspective. When I’m trying to relax in New York, I connect to my heritage. There are three Russian TV channels that I can access from the US and I’m perfectly happy to watch them all day. Or head to the spa. To spend an entire day being pampered – fancy manicures, pedicures, massages, facials – it’s heaven. I’m a true Russian!”

6. She Has A Unique Hotel Workout

Michael Kors Collection Fall/Winter 2022 Runway ShowJP Yim/Getty Images

Shayk and personal trainer Justin Gelband put together a workout routine that can be done in any hotel room—no equipment required. “I’m in hotel rooms most of the time, and it can be hard to find a hotel with a nice gym,” Shayk says. “It was important for me to have a workout I could do in my room. If you’re feeling jet lagged, or too lazy to get dressed, you can basically watch TV and do these moves.”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is "Rooting for Us All"

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout?
