After her grandmother died and a bad breakup, Dulcedia did a 21-day social media detox. “I thought about leaving social networks for good. I needed to detox because of the bullying I was receiving, especially from some girls who hated me because of my relationship with Alba and made me look like the bad guy,” she told Cosmpolitan. “I went on a trip for five days and then I was home. I didn't answer messages or want anyone to know anything about me except my four friends. It caused me rejection to see myself so sad.”

On a recent trip, Dulceida spent a lot of time hiking and biking. “Enjoying a lot, doing things for the first time (i love first times), trying everything, sweating a lot and being very happy with this piece of experience,” she captioned the post.

Dulceida also loves skiing. Here she is “chillin like a baby, last snow day,” she captioned a post. Research has linked downhill skiing to a number of health benefits. Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
