She Dances

Alaya is an avid dancer. She has appeared in music videos and dance productions. She posted this behind the scenes video on Instagram of herself in the studio rehearsing. "It always amazes me how so many elements need to come together and be just right to make just one video!" "One of the best things about dance is its creativity – you're free to interpret moves in your own way. Some varieties, such as ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) barn dancing, have a 'caller' who shouts out moves to the crowd," says the British Heart Foundation. "Other dances, zumba for example, have an instructor who stands at the front to demonstrate steps. It should be easy to find a class too ."

She Works Out At Home

"But it's important to stay occupied and productive in a time like this. It's important for us to nurture our health more than ever now. She Remembers To Stretch

In the same Instagram video, Alaya says that she makes sure to stretch when she works out. "Stretch and rest as often as you want between it! There's no rush! Each body is different, do what feels right for you and do it at your own pace." "Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage," says Harvard Health.
