1

The Joy Of Working Out

Fosalba loves staying active and working out, both for physical and mental health benefits. "Sport is one of the important things in my life," she captioned an Instagram post. "It has thousands of benefits, but for me the main thing is that doing some physical activity constantly keeps me active, positive and happy. I have verified that training makes me less likely to get sick, I mean not only physically but also mentally. I sleep better, I feel more agile, I am achieving goals and that makes me feel proud. It relieves my anxiety, and many more positive things."

2

She Uses Dumbbells

Fosalba uses dumbbells for arm exercises for toning and strength training. "Numerous studies have shown that strength training can play a role in slowing bone loss, and several show it can even build bone," says Harvard Health. "This is tremendously useful to help offset age-related declines in bone mass."

3

Fresh Fruit Picnic

No picnic is complete for Fosalba without fresh fruit, especially strawberries. "Strawberries give you a lot of nutritional value for very few calories," says Bailey Flora, MS, RDN, LD. "They're tasty but naturally low in sugar. That's a combination that's hard to beat."

4

Hiking and Exploring

Fosalba loves getting out into nature for long walks and hikes. "Think of hiking as simply taking a longer walk in nature; you can hike at any pace, at any elevation, and for any number of miles, hours, or even days," says Alyson Chun, assistant director of adventure sports at Stanford University and instructor for REI. "The more challenging the hike, the more calories — and stress — you'll melt away."

5

Ab Workouts

Fosalba shared video of herself working on her abdominal muscles. "Want more-defined stomach muscles? Core exercises are important," says the Mayo Clinic. "While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles."
