Professional soccer player and Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Scott makes working out look like fun—and all her hard work clearly pays off. Scott posted photos of herself wearing a bathing suit and hat in the sunshine, while enjoying a good book. “Reading time 🤓,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 6 ways Scott stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Exercise Must Be Fun

alex-scott-2Alex Scott/Instagram

Scott strongly believes that exercise should be something you thoroughly enjoy. “It was ingrained in me from eight years old to fuel my body properly,” she told the Telegraph. “And I missed that teenage thing of partying and drinking, because of football. Now I advise friends and my mum what to do when they want to lose weight – with exercise, it has to be fun and easily slotted into your daily routine. Last year, I left my dog with my mum for a few weeks. Having to go out every day and walk it helped her lose weight without even thinking about it.”

2. She Loves Dancing

alex-scott-1Alex Scott/Instagram

Scott has discovered a passion for dance since competing in Strictly Come Dancing.“We create so many negative associations with fitness, but just make it fun,” she says. “If you hate running, don’t do it. Find a local park fitness class and go with some friends instead. Cycle to work. Find pockets of time to do little bits of fitness here and there. Thanks to Strictly I’ve fallen in love with dancing, so I’ll be looking for a dance class that I can do once a week. I’ve lost so much weight during the show – I’ve been eating loads during training, but dancing just blitzes calories.”

3. She Drinks Lots of Tea

Like a true Brit, Scott is passionate about her daily “cuppa”. “I tried to get into the whole coffee thing but it really isn't me. I love my tea. No sugar, not too weak, not too strong,” she told Women’s Health. "Tea consumption, especially green tea, may not be the magic bullet, but it can be incorporated in an overall healthy diet with whole grains, fish, fruits and vegetables, and less red and processed meat," says Qi Sun, assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health.

4. She’s An Early Bird

“Most mornings I wake up (I'm an early bird!) at 7 o'clock,” Scott says. “I try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night but we all know with life the way it is sometimes it doesn't happen.” Getting up early (assuming you’ve had enough sleep) is linked to a number of health benefits. “We know that exposure to sunlight has an impact on our moods,” says psychotherapist Michele Miller, LCSW. “For example, looking at seasonal affective disorder, it’s the longer, darker days that lead people to feel depressed and less energized—so, getting up earlier allows you to experience more daylight, which could make you feel more energized.”

5. She Loves to Run

EE British Academy Film Awards 2022 - Red Carpet ArrivalsJeff Spicer/Getty Images

Scott incorporates long runs out in the fresh air into her morning routine. “I love exercising first thing in the morning, so I would normally get up, if I'm going to my boxing class I'm normally there by 8am or I get up and I've been doing 5k runs a lot recently which I really love, music on and just run. I prefer to go to a class because I find it fun, or I go running outside.” Running is one of the most simple yet effective workouts you can do, experts say. “All you need is a pair of shoes and some time,” says Anu Gaba, MD, an oncologist at the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, North Dakota. “Even if you only have 15 or 20 minutes, that’s a good place to start.”

6. She Enjoys Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled,Eggs,On,Toasted,Bread,For,Healthy,Breakfast,Or,BrunchShutterstock

The timing of breakfast depends on Scott’s workouts, but she definitely has some go-to’s. “I don't have a specific time when I eat breakfast. If I'm going to work out it takes me a while after my workout to then either go and get a green juice, or scrambled egg— I do love scrambled egg on toast, and avocado,” Scott says. Eggs are a great choice for a healthy breakfast, experts say. “Eggs are rich in protein, which is more filling than either fat or carbohydrate,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “As a food choice, eggs score well, being high on the satiety index, a measure of how filling a food is. In fact, studies show that an egg breakfast is more sustaining than the equivalent calorie counted carb breakfast and, what’s more, may help reduce your calorie intake later in the day.”

Professional soccer player, soccer pundit, and Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Scott had the time of her life on vacation in Ibiza, Spain. Scott, 38, shared a variety of pictures of herself enjoying the summer, including ones of her posing in a green swimsuit and sarong, and another of her lounging by the pool in a black and white bikini. “Summer fun 🏝️,” she captioned the post. Scott always looks fit and beautiful—but how does she do it? Here’s how the star stays happy, healthy, and glowing.

1. Workout Out For Mental Health

Scott enjoys yoga, Peloton, and running for both physical and mental health. “Certainly running, lifting weights, playing basketball and other fitness activities that get your heart pumping can help,” say the experts at the Mayo Clinic. “But so can physical activity such as gardening, washing your car, walking around the block or engaging in other less intense activities. Any physical activity that gets you off the couch and moving can help improve your mood.”

2. Pride in Herself

Scott is proud of her authentic self. “I think I would like everyone to always know that every time they’ve seen me and in everything that I do, it’s always been 100% me – and that raw, authentic person that they saw in the beginning has never changed,” she says. “She knows where she comes from and is proud to be from that area. She is proud to represent everyone at that kind of level, they will always have that connection with me.”

3. Routine and Exercise

Alarm,Clock,And,Daily,Routine,Words,Blackboard,On,Desk,WhiteShutterstock

Scott stayed busy with her routine and workouts during the pandemic lockdowns. “I think, like many people, life had its ups and downs in 2020 – especially during lockdown,” she says. “I live alone so concentrated on having a routine as much as possible. This involved running, working out on my Peloton bike (which I love), making soups, Zoom calls with friends and learning Spanish! It’s really important for me to keep busy.”

4. Therapy Sessions

Scott swears by regular therapy sessions for good mental health. “Therapy has helped me immensely,” she says. “I went straight from retiring from one profession straight into the pressures of broadcasting in the public eye – learning techniques, and finding that balance to ensure my mental health takes priority has been important. And of course – friends and family – there’s nothing that cheers me up like drinks and laughs with the girls; that’s therapy in itself!”

5. Championing Women’s Sports

Alez.ScottAlex Scott/Instagram

Scott is thrilled there is more money being poured into women’s sports. “It's opening the door, giving more opportunities to women in those male-dominated spaces, and normalizing it across society,” she says. “Now, the young boys in the playground are seeing girls playing football at school, watching the Lionesses on TV, wearing their shirts, and seeing it as normal. That's how it should be. It's about changing the thought process of the next generation, so there is no prejudice towards any women across any industry.”

Caroline Day is bidding adieu to summer. In a recent social media post the Billions and Riverdale star shows off her incredible body in a bathing suit while soaking in a pool. “Byebye summer,” she captioned the Instagram snap. “Dreamy,” commented a follower. “Dreamy,” added another. How does the actress approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up some of her top habits.

1. She Swims

Caroline is a swimmer. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

2. She Walks

Caroline walks a lot. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

3. She Takes Baths

Caroline reaps the self-care benefits of soaking in hot water. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

4. She Drinks Coffee

You can always find Caroline with a coffee in hand. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

5. She Reads

Caroline is an avid reader. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Georgia Steel, star of Love Island, who has also appeared on Celebs on the Ranch, Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love, is used to being in front of the camera. Once working at a bar, she shot to fame on the reality series and has been working steady ever since. Perhaps that's why she felt so comfortable sharing some swimsuit photos “a few from archives.” How does she stay so fit and keep it together? Read on to see 6 ways Georgia Steel stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Had Her Passions But Didn’t Expect the Show to Help Her Realize Them

About her time on Love Island: “I can't watch myself. I basically squirm,” she said to the Independent. “I don't think you can prepare yourself for it. I honestly had no idea what was gonna happen. I completely went in there with the very naive approach….I had like a thousand followers on Instagram, but I wasn't an Instagram girl. I was just a normal girl working in the bar. I had no idea what was gonna happen. I didn't know whether I was gonna be in there for a week. I didn't know whether I was gonna be in there for that almost the whole time, like I was. But I feel like that was the essence of me cause that it was genuine. And I wasn't, I wasn't thinking of any other narrative while being in there, any like thoughts rather than just enjoying it and having fun. And I feel like that's really, really important for the contestants. And I feel like it's sad if they go in there with a different agenda. Cause obviously the show now can do so much for you, and be such a great stepping stone. Like, I've always had fashion, my makeup and my modeling; I've always absolutely loved it. So for me it was great becaus...I was talking to something I already wanted to be involved in. But I never thought going in there, but that that's what would happen. I literally just thought, oh, I like a good summer. That is literally what I thought.”

2. She Was Able to Process Her Success During the Pandemic Downtime

London Celebrity Sightings - August 18, 2021Mark R. Milan/GC Images via Getty Images

“When COVID happened, obviously people were having to stay in their homes." She was able to work from there and felt we all were "able to process the past two years of our lives and as humans, I don't think we do stop and just chill for a sec. So I feel like it was a good thing for everyone. Cause I hadn't, the past two years and a half, and now things are going back to normal, events are happening again. It's much nicer to kind of enjoy the experience and be present in the moment rather than thinking, what's happening tomorrow? What's happening tomorrow? Because I feel like I'm a lot more steady now. I'm a lot more organized,” she told the Independent.

3. She’s Done Some Tough Workouts

National Television Awards 2021 - LondonIan West/PA Images via Getty Images

Steel has done PRO.PT with celebrity trainer Yusef Bouattoura. The workouts are HIIT. “While not exactly new, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is emerging as an effective and more time-efficient alternative to traditional endurance-based exercise programs. HIIT programs include short bursts of high-intensity activity performed at maximal effort (90 percent VO2 max), separated by short periods of low-intensity work that allow partial recovery. A typical HIIT session might include a three-minute warmup, four to six repetitions of a 30-second sprint followed by a 60-second active recovery, and a three-minute cool-down,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Plays Tennis

National Television Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsMike Marsland/WireImage

Steel posted a photo of herself playing tennis with the caption: “Every season.” To avoid injuries, "That means taking lessons with a licensed professional about how to, for example, serve, hit certain shots in a particular way with correct technique," Dr. Sanj Kakar, a Mayo Clinic orthopedic hand and wrist surgeon, tells the Mayo Clinic. "I think that's first and foremost. [Also,] having the correct equipment."

5. She Builds in Chill Time

BoohooMAN x Toby Launch EventAntony Jones/Getty Images

“I get up at 11 if I can, honestly,” she told On Demand Entertainment. “I am not a morning person at all, but I'm funny. Like I'll have days where I just wanna chill, which I've literally just got back into now because I never used to be able to have chill days. And at the moment now, I think it's really important to schedule chill days in, just for yourself, mentally, physically everything. I just think you need some time to just focus on yourself. Otherwise it can get a bit too much, but I do love working when I get into it: Boom, boom, boom, boom.”

6. She Says She Can Be Calm, Despite What You May Think

'Pandora In The Park' Summer FestivalNeil P. Mockford/Getty Images

“People wouldn't believe me, but I can be very calm. I'm very chilled. I'm very, just on a normal level, like when I'm chilling at home,” she told On Demand Entertainment. “But I'm very, very reactive and I'm very impulsive and I'm very spontaneous. So when I'm put in situations or with people I can react and be spontaneous and be impulsive, I don't think everyone has that. Sometimes it's a good thing. Sometimes it's a bad thing.” As for being a reality TV star, this personality trail works for her: “I think it's good because it gives drama, entertainment value, as we say.”

Adding a playful pun to her caption, she wrote, “Never tyre’d of a good beach workout.”
So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Sharvari captioned the post, “BEAST MODE on for Vedaa! ⚠️☠️🥊 Took up boxing to become Vedaa... Now I am ready to pack a punch or be strong enough to take a brutal beating 💪#Vedaa coming to a theatre near you on August 15th.”

She Runs

Sharvari likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself running on the beach. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, burn plenty of kilojoules, help maintain a healthy weight.”

Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Entertainment India - March 2023

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”
