2. Exercise

Amber sweats her way to a hot body. One of her favorite workouts? Weight lifting. “Feeling fresh,” she captioned this mirror selfie from the gym. How often should you get your body moving? Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

3. Eat Healthy

Amber maintains a healthy diet, fueling herself with lots of protein. She loves veggies smoothies (spinach, celery, apple, nonfat Greek yogurt, water, and vanilla whey protein is her recipe), smoothie bowls, and juices, she revealed on her Active with Amber Instagram account. Most of her lunches and dinners consist of a protein and lots of veggies. When she does eat carbs, she focuses on whole grains instead of those made with white flour.

4. Relax with a Soak

Amber loves soaking in hot water, whether a bath or hot tub. Baths have been linked to better sleep and even been found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

5. Take a Walk

Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. If this is not an option, there are many dependable YouTube fitness channels to help you on your strength training journey. Just make sure to do your research. Staying physically active is imperative for our vitality and health. In addition to cardio exercises, you need to include regular strength training into your workout routine. Strength training preserves and enhances your muscle mass, and supports mobility and function, so we can stay active and independent.”

2. She Makes Healthy Smoothies

Turner is a smoothie expert, and loves to incorporate healthy ingredients such as spinach, avocado, and grapes into her concoctions. "Vegetables are high in potassium, which can help lower blood pressure. Turner enjoys grilled chicken and vegetables as part of her healthy eating plan. “The benefits from fruits and vegetables can be attained both through raw and cooking methods,” says Maxine Smith, RD. “Some nutrients are released more when they're cooked, some are more readily available in the raw form. So I always encourage people to try to get a variety of different foods cooked with different cooking methods. For example, when you take dark green leafy vegetables, the folic acid, which is very important for many of the cells in the body for our heart health, is more readily available, less damaged in raw form. So dark green leafy vegetables in salads, for example, would be encouraged.”

Turner takes long walks whenever she can, which is good not just for her physical health but for mental health, too. “Walking can be as good as a workout, if not better, than running,” says Dr. Matt Tanneberg, CSCS, a sports Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. “You hear of people 'plateauing' when they continue to do the same workout routine and stop seeing results. I see patients all the time that plateau from running, they will run the same distance, speed and time, day in and day out. You need to constantly be switching up your exercise routine in order to get the maximum benefit for your health.”

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”
