1

Lift Heavy Weights, Often

Ameesha works out long and hard, deadlifting heavy weights in addition to doing a lot of strength training." I hit the gym for an hour every day when I am not shooting," she told Celeb Fitness. "When I am not shooting, I have my normal workouts in the morning and then go for narrations, styling, and jogging. Sometimes I split my workout schedule. I do weights in the morning and spinning in the evening. When I have limited time for working out, Khushru and Girish keep that in mind and design my workout accordingly," she added in another interview with Celeb Fitness.

2

Give Yourself Workout Breaks

Ameesha believes in allowing yourself to recharge and taking breaks from fitness "Been 40 days away from training , and the first thing I come back to is SQUATS. @klinton81 pushed me always but sensibly .. @unitedstrength," she captioned a post.

3

Move

Ameesha is all about staying active and regularly moving her body. "I try to be active throughout; even if I am at home, I do my own stuff like cleaning my room, wardrobe and so on," she told Celeb Fitness. "Winded by grocery shopping or household chores? Regular physical activity can improve your muscle strength and boost your endurance. Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lung health improve, you have more energy to tackle daily chores," says the Mayo Clinic.

4

Hydrate

Ameesha claims that drinking "lots of water," keeps her skin glowing. "I drink lots of coconut water," she added to Celeb Fitness. "Coconut water, which is the clear fluid found inside coconuts, differs from coconut milk, which combines coconut water with grated coconut. Coconut water has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor, and is low in sugar and calories. However, it also boasts electrolytes such as potassium, sodium and magnesium, all of which help to replenish lost nutrients. What that means is it's something good to drink after exercise or during a mild illness — although, it may not be any better than water," says Harvard Health.

5

Avoid Crash Diets

Ameesha does not encourage crash diets. "We don't believe in unhealthy methods of eating or drinking to get immediate results. It's not about temporary fitness. To me, it's about being fit for life," she told Celeb Fitness. "Your weight is a balancing act, and calories are part of that equation. Weight loss comes down to burning more calories than you take in. You can do that by reducing extra calories from food and beverages, and increasing calories burned through physical activity," says the Mayo Clinic. "While that seems simple, it can be challenging to implement a practical, effective and sustainable weight-loss plan. But you don't have to do it alone. Talk to your doctor, family and friends for support. Ask yourself if now is a good time and if you're ready to make some necessary changes. Also, plan smart: Anticipate how you'll handle situations that challenge your resolve and the inevitable minor setbacks.
