She Has This Message for Women
"Today is #InternationalWomensDay, a day where we as women are celebrated," she captioned one clip. "We celebrate the power that being a woman comes with. The strength, the perseverance. We are reminded to be proud of our sexuality, to be proud of our bodies, and to challenge ourselves every day to love ourselves more and more."
"Some days confidence comes easier, sometimes it's a challenge," she added, "but if we all make a commitment to lift each other up, it will come more often."
She Now Loves Herself
"I struggled with an eating disorder when I was 14 and I'm so lucky that I came out of the other side of it," she said. "I learned so many amazing things from it that I honestly wouldn't take back." "I've never loved myself as much as I do now, which is so important. I think it's the most important quality any woman can have," she continued. "It's just self-love, self-respect, self-confidence and body positivity."
Her Mom is a Big Inspiration
Of mom Lisa Rinna, Hamlin says: "She taught me how to love myself, how to unapologetically be myself, how to make fun of myself, and self-deprecate myself in amazing ways that actually ended up helping me with my confidence, and not take myself too seriously," she explained. "I think that's a really big key to life."
She's Into Yoga Gear
Hamlin has sported the Alo clothing, a yoga brand. "Practicing slow, controlled breathing stimulates the body's vagus nerve, which takes information about the current state of relaxation and relays it to the rest of the body, including the brain. One area affected when the vagal nerve is stimulated is the parasympathic nervous system, which controls the body's rest and digestion functions. The mindful breathing practiced in yoga increases the activity of the parasympathic nervous system. As a result, yoga lowers the heart rate, improves digestion and quality of sleep, and strengthens the immune system. Another benefit is an improved stress level," says the Mayo Clinic.
She Hits the Gym
Hamlin is frequently photographed leaving a gym. "The Department of Health and Human Services recommends that healthy adults include aerobic activity and strength training in their fitness plans, specifically," says the Mayo Clinic:
- At least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous aerobic activity
- Strength training exercises of all the major muscle groups at least twice a week."
