Well, because quite frankly, the aim to achieve full gender equality for women around the world has still not been realised. Data released by UN women shows that the pandemic could put women’s equality back by 25 years. This year DOUBLE the amount of women have been made redundant than men. Not to mention school closures have created a childcare crisis. 1 in 3 women have lost their jobs to cope with unpaid duties at home. And there’s still a significant gender pay gap.”
