She Loves Yoga
Ananya is a yogi. She loves the workout for the physical as well as mental benefits. She also maintains it is great for her skin. "It brightens up my face and makes the happy hormones flow, which, in turn, gives a pinkish flush to my cheeks," she told Vogue. According to the American Osteopathic Association benefits of yoga include:
- "increased flexibility
- increased muscle strength and tone
- improved respiration, energy and vitality
- maintaining a balanced metabolism
- weight reduction
- cardio and circulatory health
- improved athletic performance
- protection from injury"
She Doesn't Do Anything Before She Exercises
Exercise is a priority for Ananya, so much so that she refuses to do anything in the morning before she exercises. "I swear by doing yoga first thing in the morning. I schedule things only once my workout is done," she told Vogue.
She Eats Healthy Six Days Per Week
Ananya maintains a healthy diet…almost every day of the week. However, she does allow herself to cheat. "I eat well and clean six days a week. Then every Sunday, it's burgers galore," she told Vogue. "I am the happiest with my body when it's well-fed, well-rested and well-exercised. More than trying to hit a target body weight or size, I am looking more for happiness by simply being kind to my body."
She Does Pilates
Another one of Panday's go-to workouts? "My favorite is Pilates. It's very good for stretching and I'm not flexible at all, so it really relaxes my body," she told Vogue. According to research, Pilates helps increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is a great workout for leaning out.
She Works Out at Home
Panday isn't a big fan of the gym. Instead she prefers exercising at home. "I have SO many workouts for exercising at home with no equipment or at the gym, and they are going to make working out together so much fun!" she wrote alongside a video of herself getting physical. "Throughout your work day, look for reasons to stand up and move. Walk while you are on the phone, or take five minutes every hour to get up and walk through each room in your house. Walking has been shown to improve mood, stimulate creativity, and enhance focus, making it an all-around win for your health and productivity," says Penn Medicine.
