The chart-topping singer shows off her fit figure in cutoff shorts and a bathing suit via a recent photoshoot, sharing the snaps on social media. The majority of her followers responded with fire emojis. How does the singer maintain her fit physique? Read on to see 5 of Avril Lavigne’s top diet and fitness tips and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Be Consistent with Your Diet

During a pandemic interview with Nylon Avril revealed that she might eat the same meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “Instead of cooking three meals a day, we cook just one big meal and eat it all day long,” she said about her quarantine diet plan. Among Lavigne’s go-to meals are roasted chicken with vegetables, slow-cooker chili, and truffle pasta. “I don’t bake,” she added.

2. Prioritize Your Health

Avril is very open about her battle with Lyme disease and how it took her down. "I was in bed for... two years," she told Billboard, adding that it felt like she was being "gaslighted" and "trapped" by her body. The “silver lining of it”? Years of incapacitation and physical therapy and powerful drugs gave her a much-needed break from her busy life.

3. Hydrate

Avril prioritizes hydration. During her Billboard and Nylon interviews she sips on water infused with electrolytes. “The purpose of rehydrating — whether with water or electrolyte-containing beverages — is to pull fluid back into our system so our organs can function properly,” says the Mayo Clinic. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

4. Burn Calories By Cleaning

One creative way Avril burns calories? Cleaning. “I like doing the floors because I think it’s a form of cardio and that I’m working out,” she told Nylon. The self-declared sk8er girl also skateboards.

5. Consume Less Alcohol

Avril used to drink a lot of alcohol, but these days, tries to stick to tea and juice. “I’m not drinking [alcohol] really,” she told Nylon. “I’m trying to stay really healthy because I need to keep my body healthy. I’ve had a couple of beers, but I make a lot of spa water and drink a lot of tea and fresh green juice.”

Bebe Rexha, the singer being Better Mistakes, is currently under the sun, and is sharing some snaps with her followers, including one of her in a neon green bathing suit and red hat. The caption? "🍓🥝." "🔥🔥🔥," commented artist Dennis Leupold. (You might also say, to paraphrase one of her songs, "Baby, I'm Jealous.") How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Bebe Rexha stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Mixes It Up

In an interview with Health, Rexha opened up about her health and wellness. She says that her workout routine is all about variety. Rexha and her trainer like to mix up what type of exercise they do each day. “One day we’ll do yoga; one day we’ll do Pilates,” she said. “We can run one day or box, which is my favorite."""

2. She Works Out When She Travels

62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Rexha has a busy schedule and has to travel all over the world. You’d think that she wouldn’t have time to workout when she’s on the road. However, she tells Health that she makes time for exercise when she travels. “When I go to different places, I’ll try to run or go to the gym—or I’ll take cycling classes or boxing classes wherever I am.”

3. She’s True To Herself

Rexha is all about staying true to herself. She tells Health that she has ignored the advice other music executives have given her, as she wants to be as authentic as possible. “I’ve never followed that ‘play the game’ thing. I’ve just been myself. I’ve had people tell me, ‘That’s why you’re not as big as you could be’—which is fine. You don’t tell me what to do—you cannot judge me or put me in a box or tell me how I need to look.”

4. She Feels Happy With Her Body

Rexha is open about her struggles with her body. She says that she has felt pressure to lose weight in the past. However, she is working on being happy with herself and her body. “I see pop stars who are super thin,” she says to Health. “I could definitely get there. I’ve done it before, where I was 120-something pounds—and I was just miserable. I was always cold, never eating; I had no ass. Now I look at those pictures like, ‘Oh my God, I was so skinny.’ But I wouldn’t go back there. Even for this shoot...a lot of people would probably kill themselves working out. I’ve been not eating perfect or starving myself—I had chicken Parmesan the other night, Thai food the night before. I’ve just been enjoying my life. Then I was kind of bummed because I weighed myself. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, dammit, I gained, like, six pounds, and I have my Health shoot!’ But then I was like, ‘You know what, when will I ever be ready?’ That’s just nonsense. I think you have to do what’s best for you.”

5. She Can Laugh At Herself

e1972 -Backstage - February 2020 - New York Fashion WeekAlbert Urso/Getty Images

Rexha is also open about her struggles with her mental health. She tells SELF that her way of coping with the bad times is by finding humor in the situation. “It’s important for me to laugh at myself sometimes, and also spread information, and normalize it, because it makes me feel better instead of writing a sobby ballad. Which you totally could do—there’s not anything wrong with that. But I like to be sarcastic about things sometimes. It takes away the pain and the hurt.”

1. Addison Rae

The TikTok star, actress, and singer is a fan of doing lower-body and butt workouts. According to this video, Rae’s typical workout consists of two sets of donkey-kicks, fire hydrants, and fire hydrant extensions. "I've done this butt workout so many times because it literally burns so bad but it's so good," she says in the video.

2. Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton says to Vogue that she considers her busy days and schedules her typical workout. “I never really work out in real life, because I am constantly so busy that my life is like a work out. Shopping is my cardio.”

3. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera has been in the public eye since she was young. She’s also gone through a lot of changes with her body, which includes insecurities with herself, and public scrutiny. Aguilera told Health that she hated being super-skinny, and is more comfortable in her body now. "I would never want to relive my 20s — you're so in your own head and finding your confidence. As you age, you stop comparing yourself to other people and start appreciating your own body and owning it," she said.

4. Perrie Edwards

The Little Mix member works with trainer Danielle Peazer to keep her body in shape. Peazer tells The Sun that she does a lot of dance-based cardio and standard exercises with the singer. “For me it would be a dance cardio with things like jumping jacks. I also do burpees and my own version of a side tap, where you extend your leg to the side and drive the knee up into your chest and repeat. Balance yourself by swinging your arms as if you are running.”

5. Alesha Dixon

The Britain’s Got Talent judge and singer is a really healthy eater. "I love salads and lean fish and when I can I eat sashimi and sushi. I'm now a pescatarian. Also, I love roasted vegetables, avocado and aubergine as well," she says to the Daily Star.

Avril Lavigne is enjoying her summer in Malibu. On Tuesday, the popstar shared a gallery of snaps, giving her followers a rare glimpse of her bikini body. “Summer in Malibu,” she captioned the series of herself rocking a bright green, skimpy string bikini. How does the 36-year-old maintain her fit physique and stay healthy, despite some recent struggles? 1. She Eats the Same Thing for Every Meal

During her Nylon interview, which took place over the pandemic, she revealed that she was quarantining with a few pals. “Instead of cooking three meals a day, we cook just one big meal and eat it all day long,” she says. Among Lavigne’s go-to meals are roasted chicken with vegetables, slow-cooker chili, and truffle pasta. “I don’t bake,” she deadpans.

2. She Battled Lyme Disease

The Drop: Avril LavigneAlison Buck/WireImage

Avril battled Lyme disease and even penned a song about it. "I was in bed for... two years," she told Billboard, adding that it felt like she was being "gaslighted" and "trapped" by her body. However, she notes that “silver lining of it” -- which involved making her way back to health after years of incapacitation and physical therapy and powerful drugs, is that it gave her a much-needed break from her busy life.

3. She Drinks Water with Electrolytes

During her interview with Billboard and one with Nylon, the singer sipped on water infused with electrolytes. “The purpose of rehydrating — whether with water or electrolyte-containing beverages — is to pull fluid back into our system so our organs can function properly.

How much to drink and when is dependent on each individual. The general rule of thumb at this point among physicians is to drink to thirst. Although there are guidelines for hydration before, during, and after exercise, look and listen to your body as the best indicator when you need hydration,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. Her Workouts Involve...Cleaning

According to Avril, she burns her calories cleaning, revealing that she is the person in the house who cleans the floors. “I like doing the floors because I think it’s a form of cardio and that I’m working out,” she told Nylon. Considering she is a sk8er girl, it isn’t surprising that skateboarding is also one of her go-tos.

5. She Doesn’t Drink a Lot of Alcohol

While she used to be more of a party girl, Avril claims that her nights are filled with tea drinking for the most part. “I’m not drinking [alcohol] really,” she told Nylon. “I’m trying to stay really healthy because I need to keep my body healthy. I’ve had a couple of beers, but I make a lot of spa water and drink a lot of tea and fresh green juice”

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram
