Decades of research suggests that the best diet for cancer prevention is all about plants. That means lots of fruits, vegetables and legumes, and little to no meat or other animal products," says the Mayo Clinic.

After her Lyme Disease left her bedridden for two years, Lavigne decided to slow down her career, and put her recordings on hold. “I've really had the time to be able to just be present, instead of being, like, a machine: studio, tour, studio, tour. This is the first break I’ve ever taken since I was 15," she admitted to Hello!.

Lavigne revealed to People that her spirituality helped her with her health crisis. “I’m a very spiritual person, and I definitely did turn to God during that experience,” she says. Lavigne says that her faith helps her feel grateful for her progress. “When you go through something like that, you realize how fulfilling simple things are — things I could do anymore, like being able to get up in the morning and go to the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee,” she says. “It taught me patience; it taught me being more present. That was a beautiful lesson.”
