Mathie is a boxer, so this is her main way of staying in shape. She opened up about how she got into the sport to Womeninboxing.com. “For me, it’s like the ultimate test. And every test, with every opponent, one day to the next, is different. Not only do you have to be insanely fit, you have to be insanely smart, and emotionally strong as well to stay calm under pressure. Other people can try to help you, but essentially you can’t rely on anyone else. It’s just you and what you can do. I love that.”

2. She Eats Fruit First Thing On Holidays

Mathie opened up about how she stays in shape on vacation in this blog post. She says that she keeps fruit in her hotel room to eat first thing in the morning. “If you’re a person that likes to eat before a work out, keep some fruit in your hotel room. This negates the excuse of having the timely ordeal that holiday breakfasts can be, or eating too much and end up skipping the workout bit. Eat the big breakfast after the workout.”

3. She Works Out First Thing In The Morning

Mathie likes to workout early, especially on vacation. She writes in her blog post, “When you’re on holiday, you’re there to relax and enjoy the luxury of spontaneous decisions… so if you leave the workout until later in the day, chances are it won’t happen. Get it done first thing and you’ll feel amazing the rest of the day. Maybe you might even find the time for a second workout later. Or a nap. Or both.”

4. She’s Cautious About Her Drink Choices

When it comes to beverages, Mathie is particular. She shared her tips for choosing drinks in her blog post. “Choose drinks that are lower in sugar and that make you feel fuller, eg. beer, wine and white spirits. Avoid dark spirits, soft drink/pop soda, juice etc, instead go for water/mineral water/tonic and fresh lemon or lime as mixers. Make sure you drink a glass of water between each drink.”

5. She Works Out Every Day

Mathie makes sure to workout on a regular basis. “Walk everywhere possible, and do at least one active pursuit each day (on top of your daily workout),” she writes in her blog post. “The more you move, the more you burn…Even just tapping your feet while you’re sitting around burns a few calories. When I recently did a 5 day hike through the mountains of Peru, I drank more beer than I have all year in those 5 days. We were walking an average of 15km a day at what I would consider only a slow/medium pace and doing no other exercise than that, though I actually managed to come home a few pounds lighter than when I left! But all day I was on my feet, moving around, laughing so hard, having an amazing time, drinking beers from lunch time and usually in bed by 8pm because we were so exhausted (and sometimes drunk haha).”

In her YouTube video, Bedford revealed what types of things she tries to incorporate into her diet. She says that she aims to eat a certain amount of calories and proteins each day. 2. She Hired a Trainer

The first thing Emily did to lose the weight was hire a personal trainer, Paulina Taylor Hefferan, who she works out with at 6 a.m. three days per week. I don’t weigh myself very often because the number on the scale doesn’t define me as a person nor is it wholly indicative of progress. I measure my progress and Heath by other methods of measurement such as endurance, strength, how many times I can walk up the Salt Creek Hill in one day and how I look in my clothes. I’ve changed physically but most importantly I’ve changed mentally. I’ve learned that weight loss doesn’t have to be all in or nothing, you just have to do 1 thing better than the day before. The key to long term results is consistency and having someone in your corner cheering you on!” she revealed in this Instagram post.

Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine.
