1. Exercise Daily

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar’s Food Diaries Ayesha revealed that she makes fitness a daily habit for both mental and physical health. “Fitness wasn’t really a part of my lifestyle and I’d say the past year and a half—post having all of my kids—it’s really become a staple for me and it helps me have mental clarity. I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life,” she said. “I find that I’m happier when I work out. And so I do try to work out at least five days a week.” Ayesha is a fan of maintaining variety with her workouts. "I have to keep my workouts exciting and fresh and different," she told Women’s Health. "Sometimes it's biking or high-intensity interval training, others it's a jump rope workout or a workout on the Fitbit app."

2. Eat Healthy Most of the Time

Ayesha maintains a healthy diet–80 percent of the time at least! "These past two years, since I turned 30, I've started to consider how food can really make a difference in the way that I feel and look," she dished to Women's Health. "My career is in food and I'm a firm believer in eating what you love. I'm not a dieter. For me, it was really about learning how to exercise portion control and living that 80/20 life."

3. Track Activity

Ayesha wears a Fitbit Versa 2 in order to track activity. She claims that the tool was instrumental in helping her lose 35 pounds. "My Fitbit truly helped me figure out my health and wellness and navigate through this journey."

4. Drink Lots of Liquids

Ayesha starts the day with a popular beverage. "Typically, I have a glass of hot water with some lemon in it," she told Women’s Health. "I love it; it warms me up and makes me feel good." She also drinks lots of fluids throughout the day, in order to keep herself from snacking. "I usually sip on water or herbal tea until dinnertime," she told Women’s Health. "I'm an herbal tea girl. I love anything with lavender and chamomile."

5. Add Healthy Fats

Ayesha also drinks coffee, but infuses it with healthy fats. "I do a version of a bulletproof coffee with a little bit of ghee and a little bit of MCT oil," she added to Women’s Health.

6. She Has Cheat Meals

Ayesha is all about the occasional cheat meal. She loves cooking a big meal and feasting without guilt. "I always have a day a week where I'm in the kitchen and just preparing something new and fun and indulgent," she told Women’s Health. "It really works for me; I always have that day to look forward to. It's the best day ever every single week."
