She Loves Smoothies
Ferreira tells ELLE that she likes to eat smoothies and bowls. "I like smoothies, and things that go down smoothie-cool – when I used to live in Williamsburg I used to get an acai bowl most mornings. It's like a smoothie in a bowl, and it has açai and almond butter and granola, so many different flavors, and it's raw vegan."
She Weight Trains
Ferreira tells ELLE that weight training is one of her favorite workouts. "I like to lift heavy," she says. "I'm not one for those little two-pound dumbbells – my goal is to be super-muscular in my 40s. Women get so worried about bulking up, but you don't really get big as a woman, it's not like you wake up one day and you're a muscle machine."
She Removes Makeup At Night
Ferreira tells ELLE that she always remembers to take off her makeup after working. "I always, always take my makeup off last thing at night, no matter what. You can keep those little wipes by your bed – I love the Burt's Bees ones – so at least if you're that tired you can just use those to take off all the gunk. Every time I break out, it's because of my makeup."
She Doesn't Pressure Herself
Ferreira tells Refinery29 that she no longer puts pressure on herself. "I didn't have much control over the way that I looked when I was modeling; I was at the mercy of my clients. Now I can let that go and enjoy makeup more as an actress. I have more time to explore, and I feel no pressure to look sexy. I don't have to conform to what the industry likes. It's been very liberating."
She's Comfortable With Herself
Ferreira tells Refinery29 that she's a lot more comfortable with herself. She says that she doesn't always need to put makeup on everyday. "I don't have to wear makeup to feel okay. I like my freckles being out, and it makes me sad to cover them up. Sometimes it's even more powerful for me to not wear a lot of makeup."
