In her Teen Vogue interview, Martinez talked about how she deals with social media hate. "For The Bachelor in particular, there are a lot of really judgmental, critical, and hateful people that are in the fan base," she says. "It was really hard to get used to people attacking [me], or just commenting really mean things…I have people who follow me, they watch my stories, and they realize I'm a real person and it's like they're going out of their way to trigger you, and saying things to get a reaction out of you. It's kind of ridiculous. It made me have thicker skin."

She Does Activities With Her Family

Martinez likes to do outdoor activities with her fiance and two kids. She shared these highlights from a trip they took to Cancun on Instagram. "How's your Monday? We are having so. much. FUN. We're so lucky to spend this time together as a family. From sailing to relaxing by the pool to paddle boarding to trapeze backflips… There's so much to do and it's worth every dollar and every minute of the plane ride. :)"

She's Seeking Treatment For Her Mental Health

Martinez is open about her struggles with her mental health. She opened up about how she decided to start counseling in this Instagram post. "Last night on my stories, I shared a bit about the struggles inside my head and the way they manifest into compulsive behaviors and thoughts," she starts. "So many people shared their own stories and insight and it was a major turning point for me. I've always secretly downplayed and even scoffed at mental illness, and I think it's been one of the many coping mechanisms that have kept me from seeking professional help. Thank you so much to each and every one of you. Because of this instagram community, I've decided to seek counseling for some of the behavioral patterns and thoughts that have caused a lot of fear and confusion since childhood."

She's Conscious Of The Environment

Martinez supports a lot of causes. One thing she is passionate about is helping the environment. She shared this post on Instagram for "Plastic Free July", which encourages people to reduce the amount of plastic in their homes. "Have you heard about Plastic Free July?! It's a month-long challenge to eliminate single-use plastic waste that has empowered over 300 million people around the world to make a change…My first-ever conscious plastic-free swap was from liquid soap to bar soap a couple years ago!"
