Here’s how the star takes care of herself.

Bethenny Frankel is kicking off the new year in her bathing suit! The reality star, mom, and entrepreneur shared a photo of herself on a beach. "Diet & Fitness are always big resolutions. People get all hyped up & make grand statements about all the drastic changes they're going to make & how life will never be the same again. Then we feel disappointed if we can't sustain unrealistic self promises," she captioned it. "I resolve daily & weekly to be as healthy as is realistic for me." How does she manage to make 51 look like 31? She Resolves to Have a Good Relationship With Food

Said Frankel in the new post: "People always ask and comment on how often I work out and if I eat. I used to be very focused on diet & exercise. In my 30s, I let that go & it changed my life & my body immeasurably. People are too obsessed & noisy about these areas. I exercise rarely & wish I did more. When I do it's walking or yoga, but I always prioritize sleep over fitness. I eat & drink what I want & crave but I never binge nor become emotional about food. (This doesn't mean that I don't feel like a garbage can after boozing & eating crap btw.) We beat ourselves up & feel 'good' or 'bad' based on consumption. It's an unhealthy obsession & achieves the opposite of the desired result. Food is not our best friend nor our enemy. A better relationship with food and fitness is a more realistic resolution that you can actually achieve."

Fuel Up with Two Healthy Meals a Day

Bethenny fuels up with two healthy meals per day. "What I eat has no consistency," she told Good Housekeeping. "Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

Don't Stress About Fitness

Bethenny has a laid back approach to exercise. "My philosophy on eating and exercise is to do what you can when you can," she revealed in a 2019 Instagram post. "If I'm near a beach, I take an hour walk. If I have the time, I'll do a yoga DVD. I don't believe in fear based, torturous, aggressive exercise. Life is too short and stressful to dread doing something for an hour. In addition, extreme exercise creates extreme hunger."

Get Enough Sleep

Bethenny has her priorities in order. "I choose time with my daughter and sleep first," she revealed in the same Instagram post. "Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don't need more than eight hours in bed to achieve this goal," says the Mayo Clinic.

Don't Binge Eat

Bethenny eats what she wants in moderation. "I love food and eat whatever I want but I NEVER binge," she revealed in the Instagram post. "I don't beat myself up about what I've eaten or praise myself about what I haven't. Food isn't your best friend or your enemy. It's just food. I have a good relationship with it."

Self-Care Is Key

Bethenny prioritizes self-care. "People always ask me if I ever relax….I'm very insular & I love to hit pause & heal. Beach walks, swimming, sleep & selfcare are my therapy," she wrote on Instagram recently. She added in the new post: "Perhaps this year resolve to love yourself, to understand how hard life has been for you, to be generally healthy, in a realistic way & to do the absolute best that you can given the current circumstances versus some fantasy boot camp, keto, egg white, intermittent fasting, low carb 1,200 calorie pleasure-free life that isn't a reality."
