Beyoncé keeps her figure toned through weight lifting, and a rigorous routine at that. According to Beyonce's trainer, she exercises five times a week and her workouts are followed by 45 minutes of weight lifting. That's in addition to the intense choreography work she does daily when she's on tour.

Calisthenics relies on the use of body weight for toning up. The singer incorporates these poses and exercises into her routine, using her own bodyweight to build more muscle. For someone like Beyoncé, calisthenics can be really helpful when she's on the go and doesn't always have access to weights. According to the Mayo Clinic, "body-weight training boosts metabolism, fitness and endurance. This type of exercise also challenges several muscle groups at once and offers more variety than a solitary exercise machine can."
