Akalay loves Pilates, especially when it's too cold to work out outdoors. "Pilates lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in your body in a balanced fashion," says the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. "It requires concentration in finding a centre point to control your body through movement."

Swimming is Akalay's favorite workout when the weather gets warm. "Swimming, like all exercise, releases endorphins in your brain," says Dr Samantha Wild, Clinical Lead for Women's Health and Bupa GP. "These are the hormones that make you feel good. They help to increase positivity and bring about a sense of wellbeing and happiness."

She Loves To Dance

Akalay loves the therapeutic benefits of dancing. "Two hours in which I forgot everything, I was swept away from the place, time and even my life," she captioned an Instagram video. "Is it not freedom to dance under the guarantee of your partner even with your eyes completely closed?"
