Britney Spears is revealing the workout responsible for her super fit figure! On Tuesday the pop princess shared an exercise video, demonstrating the 7 exercises responsible for physique. Because Brit always infuses her personality into social media, she rocks oversized sunglasses while perfectly executing her moves to the tune of her own song. “Yellow caution ⚠️ !!! Here I go,” she captioned it. CelebWell asked Dan Bowen, NPTI, NASM, a personal trainer and owner of Philadelphia's Hit Fitness, to break down her set. Read on to see the 11 exercises that help Britney Spears stay in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Plank Up Downs

britney-spears-1Britney Spears/Instagram

Bowen explains that the first exercise Britney nails is plank up-downs off a box. “This move effectively works the core and arms,” he tells CelebWell.

2. Physio Ball Raise Into Side Bends

britney-spears-2Britney Spears/Instagram

Next up, Britney uses a big physio ball and does physio ball raises followed by physio side bends. “This is a great exercise to strengthen the core,” Bowen maintains.

3. Front Raise

britney-spears-3Britney Spears/Instagram

Next up, Britney does front raises using a bar. “This exercise helps strengthen the front delts/shoulders,” Bowen says.

4. Leg Raises

britney-spears-4Britney Spears/Instagram

Using a Roman chair, Britney performs leg raises, which “target the core,” says Bowen. "Core-strength exercises strengthen your core muscles, including your abdominal muscles, back muscles and the muscles around the pelvis. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many physical activities," says the Mayo Clinic.

5. Dumbbell Press Fly

britney-spears-5Britney Spears/Instagram

Next Britney lies down on a bench and performs dumbbell press flys, a simple but effective move that targets the chest.

6. Physioball Sit Ups

britney-spears-6Britney Spears/Instagram

Britney grabbed her physioball again, hopped on, and performed a series of sit ups, again working her abs.

7. Running On Non-Motorized Treadmill

britney-spears-7Britney Spears/Instagram

Then, she did a little cardio. “Running on a non-motorized treadmill is one of the most effective treadmills for developing proper running techniques,” explains Bowen. “Unlike standard electric treadmills, there are no on/off switches or complex buttons and settings to worry about pushing. It's a manually operated treadmill that helps train technique posture, balance, and cadence.”

8. Pull Downs

britney-spears-8Britney Spears/Instagram

After hopping off the treadmill, Britney did a few cable pull downs. "The triceps extension is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscle in the back of the upper arm. As the name implies, the triceps extension targets the triceps muscle, located here in the back of the upper arm. Properly done, the triceps extension helps strengthen and tone the back of your upper arm. If you use a cable system, you can also work your core muscles and improve your stability," Dr. Edward Laskowski of the Mayo Clinic says.

9. Bridge

britney-spears-9Britney Spears/Instagram

For her next exercise, Britney performed a bridge, which works everything from the glutes to the biceps.

10. Bicycle Kicks

britney-spears-10Britney Spears/Instagram

In case you haven’t noticed, Britney’s workout involves a lot of ab work. For one of her final exercises she lays down on her back and does bicycle kicks.

11. Bridge Kicks

britney-spears-11Britney Spears/Instagram

Britney finishes off the set by getting back into bridge position and doing bridge kicks, before stretching and celebrating the end of her grueling routine.

1. Carrie Underwood: Count Macros Instead of Calories

2021 CMT Music Awards - Red CarpetGetty Images

Country darling Carrie Underwood ditched calorie counting and instead started keeping track of macros. “I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” she explained to Women’s Health about her struggles with trying to stay slim in her younger years, sometimes eating as few as 800 calories per day. “Your body is screaming ‘I need more calories. I need more carbs!’" The “wannabe vegan” works with nutritionist Cara Clark, focusing on maintaining a healthy balance of 25 percent protein, 45 percent carbs and 30 percent fat. "I love rules," she admitted to Women’s Health.

2. Jennifer Lopez: Work Out “Harder and Smarter”

Jennifer Lopez has adapted her fitness regiment over the years. However, instead of working out more, she is smarter about her workouts. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now. It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter,” she told InStyle. “And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Vanessa Hudgens: Work Out with Others

Vanessa Hudgens can afford to pay a personal trainer for one-on-one workouts, but opts for group fitness and workout buddies instead. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told Popsugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." The 32-year-old is a devotee of The Dogpound, a hardcore boot camp style studio The Dogpound she regularly visits with her friends. "HOT GIRL SUMMER IN FULL EFFECT," the gym recently wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of sweating alongside GG Magree in an intense HIIT workout.

4. Rebel Wilson: Approach Weight Loss From All Sides...Including Emotional

2020 AACTA Awards Presented by Foxtel | Television Ceremony

Working out and eating right are only part of the equation to weight loss, per actress Rebel Wilson, who lost a whopping 60 pounds in less than a year. While she majorly revamped her diet and embarked on a fitness routine, it was the work she did on the instead that helped her achieve her goals. "I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra.

5. Rita Ora: Focus On Strength, Not Weight Loss

Coin Cloud Cocktail Party Hosted by Artist and Actor CommonGetty Images

Instead of trying to lose weight or get to a certain clothing size, Rita Ora suggests putting your focus on getting stronger. "I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that,” she told Shape. “Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong," she said. "I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal."

6. Kate Hudson: Move a Little Every Day

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsGetty Images

Kate Hudson has always been devoted to fitness. One of her stay-fit secrets? She moves every day. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she told InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

7. Jessica Simpson: Get Your Steps In

Create & Cultivate Los AngelesGetty Images

After tipping the scales at 240 pounds during her pregnancy with third child, Birdie Mae, Jessica Simpson started walking her way to a 100-pound weight loss with the help of trainer Harley Pasternak. He started off by setting her goal at 6,000 steps and then eventually upping it to 14,000. "It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever. That's why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise,” he told E! about the weight loss strategy he developed for the star, which also included healthy eating, sleep, and full body workouts. “Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health,” she captioned a 2020 Instagram post.

8. Halle Berry: You Have to Commit

Halle Berry, 54, looks half her age. According to the star, her biggest secret to staying in shape is her commitment to healthy living, including workouts with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, diet tips, and healthy living mantras. “You just have to have the will and the desire,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about what it takes to stay fit. “And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

9. Nicole Scherzinger: Everything in Moderation

FOX's The Masked Singer - Season FiveGetty Images

"Don't deprive yourself of anything because eventually you'll crave it and then you might binge on it. Everything in moderation," Nicole Scherzinger told Women's Health UK about her dietary rule. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. For dinner, anything from pasta to rice, and meats and veggies, to sushi. When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. I love French fries, or crisps – salt and vinegar crisps. In terms of snacks: almonds, coconut water, bits of coconut, baby carrots."

10. Gabrielle Union: Don’t Commit to One Workout Only

2021 Billboard Music Awards - BackstageGetty Images

Gabrielle Union allows her workout routine to evolve. "As the workout phases come and go, I'll try everything," she previously told Women's Health. "Nothing, not one thing, has stuck. I've tried kickboxing, cardio barre, I've tried a SoulCycle class...I'm not a class person." In a 2019 Instagram post, she also revealed that her motivations for exercise are also evolving. “There are times I workout for a job or specific athletic goals but usually I workout to maintain my peace. Sometimes i grunt, grimace, scream...many times I've cried while training. I've cried due to frustration. I've cried from physical pain. Many times I've cried as my fears and anxiety leave my body. For me, I'm always working out my spirit and exercising my soul. This morning felt like the end of a week of taking Ls, but today I got up and reminded myself that even when I lose, I win because I'm committed to learning and evolving,” she wrote.

50 is the new 30 – in Hollywood at least. These celebrities have been in the public eye for decades, but somehow manage to majorly delay the aging process. From taking care of their skin and undergoing the latest treatments to remaining dedicated to healthy eating and exercise, we have compiled the longevity secrets of some of the most high-profile stars who look sensational in their 50s.

1. Bethenny Frankel: She Doesn’t Diet

2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Bethenny Frankel, 52, has one big dietary secret – she doesn’t diet. "I’m old enough to know that fat-free was a craze, low-carb, eat your weight in meat and cheese was a phase, keto is a fad, the Zone was a moment, and so on .... so yes, I eat carbs. I eat everything, but I don’t binge," the Real Housewives star dished to Good Housekeeping. "What I eat has no consistency. Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

2. Jennifer Lopez: No Alcohol, Healthy Diet, and “Harder and Smarter” Workouts

"I'm in the best shape of my life," Jennifer Lopez, 53, told InStyle in 2021. The star attributes her ageless beauty to a healthy diet, lots of water, and zero alcohol. She has also been extremely devoted to exercise. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she revealed. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. 3. Paulina Porizkova: Gracefully Aging with Daily Exercise

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, 58, believes in aging gracefully. And while she didn’t start exercising until she was 40, she now works out almost daily. “I try to exercise at least 3-5 days a week. And you know what? I ... hate it,” she said in one of her workout videos. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest. BUT. I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for. It makes you feel good, look good, good for your brain and body - a small miracle that has to be paid of by a little discomfort.” Her favorite workouts include dancing, rowing, and pilates.

4. Kelly Ripa: “I Work Out Seven Days a Week”

Variety's 2023 Power Of Women - ArrivalsDia Dipasupil/Getty Images

Kelly Ripa, 52, never skips a workout "I work out seven days a week," she told In the Know. "And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not. If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness." She also avoids alcohol and maintains a super clean alkaline diet.

5. Jennifer Aniston: She Switches Up Her Workouts

Los Angeles Premiere Of Netflix's "Murder Mystery 2" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Jennifer Aniston, 54, recently revealed to Bustle that she toned down her super-aggressive “feel the burn” approach to exercise. “I work out about three to four times a week, which is basically all your body really needs. I’ll do Pvolve, and then to switch it up, sometimes I’ll do Pilates, or sometimes I’ll take a hike,” she said. She also focuses on recovery. I love an infrared sauna or an Epsom salt bath. Those are two really good for drawing that lactic acid out, and I’ll even use my hands or a little gua sha on my legs for the same purpose.”

6. Jennifer Garner: Daily Cardio Sessions

On Jennifer Garner’s 51st birthday earlier this year she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and revealed her secret to longevity. “What I do in the morning is I work out,” Garner said. “You’ve gotta do hard cardio to get that—to get yourself—I’m sorry, you do,” she said. “We need it in our bodies, but we need it in our brains. Your brain needs it!” she exclaimed. “You find something that actually makes you feel joyful while you’re doing it or it won’t work.”

7. Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, 50, regularly jokes that she isn’t a fan of exercise. However, as she has gotten older she has incorporated weights into her routine. “The one thing that I have done that really has made a difference in my body is lifting weights. Not crazy weights. But, you know, like five pounds, seven pounds, 10 pounds. Twelve pounds is the maximum I can do. It keeps your muscles tight, and your skin tighter to you,” she explained to Health. “I’ve done Pilates and spinning, and I’ve tried all sorts of things—and they’re great.”

Britney Spears has never been afraid to show off her fit figure on social media—and why not, she works hard for it. So it makes sense that she was peeved when the recent photos she shared didn’t look exactly right. “So people get an idea of the difference in quality of how Insta posts look versus the originals,” she captioned one before and after shot, in which the colors looked different. “My phone has it out for me!” How does Spears stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Britney Spears stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Speaks Out

britney-spears-1Britney Spears/Instagram

Calling out her phone’s inconsistencies is child’s play for Britney Spears. Ever since the #FreeBritney movement took off, Spears has never been afraid to speak out about the treatment she endured from her family and from the conservatorship. She called 911 to report herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse, she testified on the stand, and has posted several revealing Instagram posts detailing her feelings.

2. She Spends Time Outside

Sony Pictures' "Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood" Los Angeles Premiere - ArrivalsSteve Granitz/WireImage

Spears loves to spend time outside, and does a lot of outdoor activities. She has posted several photos of herself spending time in the great outdoors. Spears loves to go hiking, go to the beach, and go horseback riding. “Get moving with these low-risk outdoor activities during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Walking, running and hiking
  • Rollerblading and biking
  • Fishing and hunting
  • Golfing
  • Rock or ice climbing
  • Kayaking, canoeing, diving, boating or sailing
  • Skiing, including cross-country and downhill skiing
  • Ice skating
  • Snowboarding
  • Sledding
  • Snowshoeing
  • Fitness classes, held outside or virtually, that allow distance,” suggests the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Dances

In addition to being a pop culture icon and a singer, Spears is known for her dance skills. She has been showing off her moves since the beginning of her career, and has tackled some difficult choreography in her live performances. Spears is also known for posting several dance videos in her kitchen on Instagram.

4. She Does Yoga

4th Hollywood Beauty Awards - ArrivalsJB Lacroix/WireImage

One of Spears’ favorite ways to exercise is by practicing yoga. She even has an Instagram story highlight entitled “Yoga”, which features videos of herself doing different poses. In the first post in the highlight, Spears wrote, “Yoga every darn day!” “The goal of calming and relaxation exercises is to help change the way you perceive a situation and react to it — to help you feel more in control, more confident or secure, and to activate healing processes within the body. Give yoga a try!” says the Cleveland Clinic.

5. She Strength Trains

Spears is a fan of lifting weights and doing strength training exercises. She posted this video on Instagram of herself doing several different weight training exercises including, lifting hand weights, lifting barbells, and doing kettlebell squats. “Muscle burns more calories at rest than fat explains strength and athletic trainer Tom Iannetta, ATC, CSCS. Lots more! Ten pounds of muscle burns 50 calories at rest, whereas 10 pounds of fat burns 20 calories. This means, long after you’ve stopped working out — even while lounging by the pool or sleeping — your body is still burning over twice as many calories when you’re toned than when you’re not,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
