Cartwright unfortunately has been subjected to trolling and body shaming throughout her career. However, it got particularly bad when she was pregnant, and after welcoming her first child last year. She says to People that she got a lot of comments about her body, especially comparing herself to her friends and co-stars, Stassi Schroeder and Lala Kent, who also welcomed babies in the same time period. However, Cartwright says that she is focusing on herself and her weight loss journey. “I want to be the best version of myself for my son. Since having Cruz, postpartum weight loss has been a struggle and something I've been very vocal about with my community. I'd like to get back to feeling like my best self all around, including both mental and physical health. I still get those negeative comments and they are still hurtful. But I remind myself that every single body is powerful and beautiful, and that I'm particularly proud of mine.”
