1. She Works Out With Her Husband

Mahomes—formerly Brittany Matthews—told Men’s Health that she and her husband like to train together. Since he is an athlete, and she is a personal trainer, they both work really hard, and push each other to do better. “When we train together, you know, we just kind of push each other and like. I obviously never win, if we are training or racing or anything, but I feel like me pushing hard makes him push harder.”
2. She Gets Enough Sleep

For Mahomes, sleep is very important. She tells Men’s Health that she and her husband makes sure to get enough sleep each night, and it depends on when they decide to wake up the next day. “I woke up, you know, early with him every day. So we were on the same schedule. We had to go to bed early because we had to get up early and go train together. I think that I've played a huge role in just keeping him motivated.”
3. She Tries New Foods

Mahomes likes to try new healthy foods to incorporate into her diet. She tells Men’s Health that she forces her husband to try new restaurants, and likes to cook new recipes. “When I moved up here to Kansas City with him, it was like we're not playing games, you're going to start trying new things. You're going to eat healthy. I'm not going to sit here and watch you eat that stuff. And I remember one time when I was cooking, I gave pastured mashed cauliflower. And I told him it was mashed potatoes.”
4. She’s A Personal Trainer

Mahomes is a personal trainer, which means she literally has to work out for a living. Naturally, this helps keep her in shape. However, this also means she has a lot of knowledge on how certain exercises work. This means that she knows the proper ways to do each exercise without getting hurt, and how to maximize the amount of resistance that her body gets.
5. She Does Whole Body Strength Training

Mahomes likes to post several videos of herself working out on Instagram. One particular type of workout that she is a big fan of is strength training. And she makes sure to do whole body strength training workouts. She posted this video of her lower-body routine, which includes deadlift squats, back leg swings, and one leg back leg swings.
