In some of them, Mahomes and her husband are seen hiking on a mountain. Piedmont Healthcare states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “Going up and down hills gets the heart pumping, creating a great cardio workout. Like most cardio exercises, hiking helps reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers. Hiking is a weight-bearing exercise, which builds muscle mass and helps prevent osteoporosis.”

2. She Trains With Her Husband

She talked about this in an interview with Men’s Health. “I still consider myself an athlete, but current athletes, you know, train differently. But when we train together, you know, we just kind of push each other and like. She talked about this in an interview with EatingWell. “If you know me or follow me on Instagram, you know that staying active and being in the gym has been a huge part of my life. I played soccer in college and professionally, but found that as my career was coming to an end, being in the gym was something that I remained super passionate about. I enjoy strength training and lifting weights mostly, but also walks with the kids and the dogs. Mahomes’ two children have severe food allergies. She tells EatingWell what healthy snacks she keeps in the VIP fridge that are safe for her family. “We keep the suite nut-free but stock it with lots of good food and drinks! We keep protein shakes in the fridge with lots of water and energy drinks (and a few adult beverages for the 21-plus crowd). They always have chicken tenders, soft pretzels, sweet treats and fruit and veggie trays. Game days are meant to be enjoyed, so I try to make sure there is lots of fun food and drinks for our friends and family while still keeping the food safe for my kids!”

5. She Horseback Rides

While in Montana, Mahomes did some horseback riding. In one of the photos she posted on Instagram, she is seen riding in a field. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters. 2. A Love for Exercise

Brittany recently told Sports Illustrated that she is the most confident wearing workout clothes at the gym. “When I was playing professional soccer over in Iceland, I didn’t have a ton to do outside of soccer, so I found myself spending a ton of time in the gym working out, creating workouts, and posting them online,” she explains. “I realized that I was enjoying that so much more than actually playing soccer.”

She also gets her steps in. In an interview with Eating Well, Brittany revealed that “walks with the kids and the dogs,” are another form of fitness for her. A 2018 study published in the journal Obesity found a link between walking 10,000 steps a day and weight loss and weight management. Other studies published by the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) in JAMA Neurology and in JAMA Internal Medicine also linked walking 10,000 steps a day to less dementia and less cardiovascular disease overall, with less heart disease, less heart failure and fewer strokes.

4. Strength Training and HIIT

Brittany’s workouts are a combination of strength training and high intensity interval training. “If you are a beginner, HIIT with BRITT it is an excellent starting point. This is a full body workout guide that focuses on toning. There are 25 workouts included and the guide can be done at home or in the gym. You will need minimal equipment, such as dumbbells, resistance bands (short & long), and ankle weights. Set some goals and go crush it!” she says on her website.

For dinners, her go-to "is always a taco night," she told Eating Well. "It's so easy to throw together and to get the whole family involved in the cooking process. Both Patrick and the kids love it."

Brittany added to Eating Well that “walks with the kids and the dogs," also help keep her in shape. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed.
