Palmer revealed some of her health and wellness secrets in an interview with Woman Fitness. She opened up about her typical diet. “I am a pescatarian, so naturally, I eat very healthy,” she says. Being a pescatarian means avoiding all meats, except fish and seafood. Palmer says that since she eats like this, finding protein is extremely important. “I am constantly trying to find different ways to source protein, because I don’t eat meat. So seafood and a lot of plant protein are essential for my diet."

She says that she tries to eat pretty healthy most of the time, and cuts out certain foods. “I try to avoid fatty foods, starches, processed food and limit my alcohol intake to at least 1 to 2 times per week,” she says. However, Palmer also says that she believes in balance, and admits that she isn’t afraid to indulge once in a while. “I definitely make sure to have a cheat day.”

5. She’s Sure Of Herself

Palmer tells UFC.com that one of her biggest wellness tips is self-confidence. She says that she is very sure of herself, and knows who she is. “At the end of the day, we are whoever we are and I don’t really have any other option. I work as hard as I can, this is the way I look and after that I can’t beat myself up over it. Hopefully everyone likes me for who I am. It was a struggle when I was younger, but now I’m older and you discover who you are.”

Don’t worry about counting reps—just set a timer and get as many as you can. Afterward, rest 10 seconds, and then repeat for four minutes. "“That was my worst fear all my life: going crazy,” she told Self. “I felt like me opening up to my fans was me finally saying, ‘I’m not going to be imprisoned by this.’ And maybe it’ll make somebody not feel imprisoned, in that moment, if they feel like they’re going through a rough time. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do.
